REMEMBERING
RIZAL
6. There are 4 person in God; the God(father), the son, the
holy ghost and the mother.
4. WATAWAT NG LAHI - the head is Jose B. Baricanosa in
Masbate 1914. He also hear a voice and claimed that it is
Rizal.
Beliefs:
1. They believed in trinity; the father, the son, and the holy
ghost.
2. Jesus is embodied in Dr. Rizal and hence, he is at once a
god and a man.
3. Rizal is not dead. He is in Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Makiling.
4. Rizal will come and lead the army of God.
3. There are no rich or poor in this world, all shall be equal.
4. Rizal is a reincarnation of Jesus Christ.
3. ADARNISTA (PHILIPPINE CHURCH 1901)
- the founder was Candida Balantac, and she was called as
"Inang Adarna" by her followers.
Beliefs:
1. Rizal is a God of the Filipino people.
2. Rizal is a true God and true man.
3. Rizal was not executed.
4. Heaven and hell exist but nevertheless, within us.
5. Nueva ecija is the new Jerusalem or Paradise.
Different sects/cults in Honoring Rizal:
1. SAMBAHANG RIZAL - literally means 'Rizal church'. It
was established by the late Atty. Basilio Aromin in Nueva
Ecija in 1918.
Beliefs:
1. God is known by the name 'Bathala' and Rizal was the son
of Bathala in the same manner that Jesus Christ is
considered the son of god. The two novel is considered the
Bible of the sects.
2. Baptism: The father, the son, and the holy ghost.
3. Confirmation performed by the lalawigan guru.
Gurus -were obligated to preach the gospel of the sects.
Lalawigan guru - duty is to perform the rites of confirmation
and supervise the gurus under their jurisdiction.
Pangulong guru - the founder of the sects.
4. It has a typical church or chapel that has an altar.
2. BATHALISMO - derived from Bathala 'God'. It was
founded by Venancio P. Wagan in Nueva Ecija 1934.
- In this sect, Wagan hear a voice.
Beliefs:
1. Rizal was not dead but instead he left for China.
2. The Philippines is for Filipinos only.
Rizalistas - Are group of people who worship Jose Rizal
as a divine being and deity.
Beliefs:
1. They believed that Rizal is parallel to Jesus.
2. Rizal is the messiah of the Philippines just as Jesus
is the messiah of Israel.
3. Both Rizal and Jesus were Asians.
4. Both Jesus and born to country that was under
colonial rule.
5. Both Jesus and Rizal were executed by their
enemies.
