Course Outcomes (COs)
CO1: Utilize operating systems, web browsers, and search engines effectively for information access and
basic navigation.
CO2: Create and format professional documents, including using features like mail merge.
CO3: Work with spreadsheets to create, filter, sort, analyse data, and generate charts/graphs.
CO4: Design and deliver presentations using various tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva).
CO5: Use tools for online meetings, communication (email/calendars), and manage information securely
using password protection.
Program Outcomes (COs)
PO1 (Basic & Discipline Knowledge): The course provides fundamental knowledge of digital tools
necessary for all disciplines (Medium mapping).
PO2 (Problem Analysis): CO3 (spreadsheet analysis) specifically involves problem analysis using data
(High mapping). Other COs have low or no mapping.
PO3 (Design/Development): CO2, CO3, CO4, and CO5 involve creating solutions (documents,
spreadsheets, presentations, communication strategies) to meet specified needs (Medium mapping).
PO4 (Engineering Tools): This entire course is centered on the application of modern software tools,
hence all COs have a High mapping to this PO.
PO5 (Society, Sustainability, & Environment): General awareness of responsible digital practices (e.g.,
information security in CO5) has a Low/Medium mapping.
PO6 (Project Management & Communication): CO2, CO3, CO4, and CO5 directly involve communication
and managing information, which are essential for project work and team collaboration (Medium/High
mapping).
PO7 (Life-long Learning): The skills taught are foundational and essential for continuous updating in a
technologically changing world, linking to life-long learning (Medium/High mapping).
