LEGAL:
Take all necessary precautions when building, testing and using privately manufactured
firearms. Were appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Depending on the
design, consider a test fire stand such as the Standard Testing Device on Black Lotus
Coalitions Odysee page. If something looks off on a print, REPRINT it. If something seems
off when test firing, STOP and inspect it. Use known quality parts, ammunition and
polymers. While we hold the position that all gun laws are unconstitutional and the
self-preservation is a fundamental human right, it is ultimately your responsibility to
understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning
privately manufactured firearms and firearm ownership in general. Nearly all governments
worldwide impose some form of regulation on firearm possession and manufacture. Many
of these laws may appear arbitrary or counterintuitive—for example, restrictions on barrel
length or magazine capacity. Certain files or configurations included in some releases may
potentially violate laws such as the National Firearms Act
(NFA) or the Gun Control Act (GCA).
To ensure compliance, we strongly encourage individuals to review the relevant regulations
in their jurisdiction. Many national and regional governments maintain official websites
where current firearms laws are published. Additionally, local shooting clubs and
organizations can be valuable resources for navigating applicable legal requirements. If
you are uncertain about the legality of any component or configuration you plan to build or
possess, consult a qualified attorney before proceeding. For those in the United States,
please refer to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) or other
appropriate regulatory agencies for the most current legal guidance.

The Bryco Jennings J22 from 1978, an old cheaply Saturday night special. Kits of which
can be found for cheap online from places like Gunbroker or EveryGunPart.
An old version of the frame has been released a while, that Trigger Guard had weak points
and the grip wouldn’t stay lined up & failed to hold the trigger bar into place. Alongside
other fitment tweaks
Testing on Jimenez JA-22 models is still ongoing, however they largely fit the frame
5
Old version, Pictured Build by AKDaddy545
Updated with better grips & trigger guard tweaks the frame is finally reliable and heavily
tested by BLC.
6
BOM: Part Kit should include
Trigger Assembly (Bar, Spring, Trigger)
Sear & Spring
7
Sear Retainer / Ejector
Sear Bar
8
Barrel
Recoil Spring
Mag Release & Spring
9
Slide
Slide Spring (Firing Pin & End Cap pictured)
Firing Pin,
Slide End Cap
Full BOM Pictured:
10
Note: Safety & Matching Spring goes unused, OE Grips are not recommended
Some kits may have part of the OE frame included with the barrel. In this case it can be
pressed out, Or cut from original housing
11
TOOLING:
⅜ Drill Bit
Flathead Screwdriver
Roll Pin Set
Hammer
Pliers
12
Pick
Jewelry Files
Lighter
13
PRINTED PARTS:
Frame, Should be printed from at about a 45 degree angle @ 99% Infill, Tree Support
everywhere.
Make sure no support generates under the barrel retainer and frame as its a pain to get off
and will likely result in a damaged frame
Grip, These can be printed at a lower infill, anything 40% infill or more, Print Top down with
Tree support
14
SLICING & PRINTING:
99% Infill, Tree Support Everywhere,
Print on the surface behind the magwell at about a 45* Angle, this allows the layer lines to
reinforce the print whilst also not allowing filament to be generated under the barrel
PLA+ at least is recommended, ABS & PA6/ PA12 also work well just account for shrinkage
Dont use PETG, It cracks
Test Printed on Bambu A1 Mini, Elagoo Carbon 2 & Monoprice Mini Delta in PETG, PLA &
PA6, Recommended orientation should look like:
15
Note: Orientation pictured above is not recommended & was only used for testing sake. If
printed too steep then support will generate inside your barrel retainer and make
installation a pain
3 Walls+ in slicing is also recommended, or else you'll get weird bugs like this while slicing
& an overall issue with thinness on the frame
16
PREPPING & POST PROCESSING:
Clear ALL support, Drill Barrel Retainer with ⅜ Drill Bit
be careful of the barrel retainer part as it is thin as hell.
File smooth / pre-drill remaining pin holes to allow for easy installation later.
Don’t go crazy or pins will fall loose.
File down all surface areas to allow for smooth movement between parts and a clean look.
17
ASSEMBLY:
1. Install trigger
Make sure to line the bottom of the trigger up with the groove in the frame. Sometimes
holding the trigger in position helps out, then use a hammer and pin punch to secure the
trigger into place with a roll pin.
18
2. Install barrel & Pin in Place
This will pin into place, NOT JB WELD. be careful not to break the slot it slides into. Drilling
out with a ⅜ Drill bit helps tremendously. The barrel should be stiff when inserted but not
free sliding when sitting in place, Then pin into place with a hammer and roll pin punch.
3. Install recoil spring
19
This spring will sit in its slot in the barrel, no support or anything else should be interfering
A pick & file is usually useful for clearing out debris & extra boogers still left in there
4. Install mag release n spring
20
May have to hold in place with a finger to line up the hole, then press assembly in place
against the force of spring. Spring sits in groove and presses against back of frame while
installed holding the magazine in place
21
5. Install Sear & Spring
The sloped side goes forward to engage with the slide. Flat part faces back, Place the Sear
spring in the hole & place sear in proper direction.
6. Ejector & pin
Place the Ejector in the left smaller slot. Should also be free of support or other debris in
way & should easily drop into place over sear, pin into place while pushing sear down to
allow to everything line up
22
7. Slide & Sear Bar Pin
There will be 2 Roll Pins, One shorter & One Longer. The shorter one goes into the bottom
right hole, whilst the longer of the 2 inserts into the top left. Both should be flush against the
right side of the frame. This will retain your barrel retainer later
(Inserting Longer of the 2 Pins)
23
(Installing the shorter of the 2 Pins)
24
8. Install sear Bar
Sits on the same Protruding pin that retains the barrel in place. You may have to push the
sear down slightly to line every hole up
25
View from the top after sear, barrel retainer pins & Sear retainer are installed correctly. Also
again double check your sear direction to ensure you wont get any failure to function
9. Assemble slide
Install Firing Pin
Install Firing pin first with longer side facing the rear end of the slide, Firing Pin spring sits
over the firing pin & will cap at the end with dollhead/ barrel retainer
26
(WATCH CAP ON ASSEMBLY, WILL FLING ACROSS YOUR ROOM AT 9000MPH
NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN)
Id suggest using a ziplock bag or just installing this component in front of a soft surface to
prevent parts flying into stratosphere
10.Install slide
Line up with the barrel and tilt onward to frame, while pressing in the recoil spring &
pushing the firing pin retainer into place onto the 2 pins. Instillation can be a bit stiff
sometimes so some force may be required
27
*** DO NOT DRY FIRE, AS GOES FOR ALL RIMFIRE, WILL CAUSE
DAMAGE + EJECTOR ISSUES**
11.Install Grip in Place
This model uses a printed grip to resolve the issue of the OE grips not being able to hold
tight on the printed model, even with threaded inserts. This combined design allows the
barrel to sit more securely in place.
28
12.Heat up Screws & Secure Grip
Use a lighter and lightly heat up grip screws to ensure they melt / easily thread into print
and hold tight. If still having issues with threads you can wrap this grip in electrical or
hockey tape to keep assembly secure
13.Install mag & Test Fitment
FUNCTION TESTING:
Load Snapcap Into Mag
29
Insert Magazine
Pull slide back to engage Sear
Ensure snapcap properly feeds
Test Fire, Check firing pin placement on Snapcap
Listen for click
Rack slide Snapcap to function test ejector
& You're done!
When Testing Live rounds id highly recommend a pair of thick gloves, safety glasses/
goggles & don't fire the weapon too close to your face. With this small of caliber it's very
unlikely much will occur but better safe than sorry and sometimes with building or slicing
mishaps these can tend to shatter/ break apart into multiple pieces very quickly.
Hopefully nothing of the sort happens, but if it does better to not have parts of your J22 in
your eyeholes
The worst failure I had in live testing over a few hundred rounds was just failure to eject and
a slight cracking starting at the sear.
Check after Live fire:
Once again just as a precaution after a few mags through the Jedi22, Remove the slide and
clean / re inspect the frame to assure no hairline cracks or melting has occurred
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Grips moving
Heating Screw and attempting to rethread sometimes helps, however worst comes to worse
wrap the grip in electrical tape to hold it in place
30
Sear Not Engaging?
Remove the slide and check the sear hole for debris. Check orientation and assure sear
bar properly engaged with sear & pivot Pin. When engaged the firing pin should be visible
from the rear of the slide, as shown:
31
Magwell angle?
Filing May be required, if still not lining up correctly then double check mag release is
properly orientated and installed. Oil on Mag feed lips also sometimes helps with feeding
issues.
Ejector Issues?
Due to the simple rimfire design of this model, any and all dry firing will damage the barrel
by leaving a dent in the side. This can be alleviated by using a hand file & gently touching
up around the edge of the barrel where the round feeds / ejects. Also double check that
you're using quality ammo. (My Older J22 kit had issues ejecting anguilla due to quality of
the casings, for example)
