2. Job purpose:

 To manage pattern development and ensure accurate pattern making, grading, and technical
approvals as per buyer specifications and production requirements.

3. Responsibilities:

 Descriptions:
 Develop accurate first patterns based on tech packs, buyer references, or sample garments.

 Ensure all patterns meet fit, construction, and measurement specifications provided by buyers.

 Make necessary pattern corrections based on sample feedback, fit trials, or pre-production reviews.
 Coordinate with sampling, merchandising, and technical teams to ensure pattern alignment with
style expectations.
 Prepare patterns for grading and ensure correct size set development as per buyer size charts.

 Review and finalize construction details like seam allowances, darts, plackets, notches, etc.

 Assist in marker planning to ensure efficient fabric utilization.

 Ensure all pattern files are saved, versioned, and archived correctly in the CAD system.

 Collaborate with QA and production teams to resolve fit or construction-related issues during pilot or
bulk production.
 Supervise junior pattern makers and provide technical guidance and training.

 Participate in pre-production meetings and ensure timely handover of approved patterns to


production.
 Maintain a pattern library categorized by buyer, style, and season.
 Stay updated with latest pattern making techniques, CAD tools, and garment technology.
