Abstract
The Student Performance and Attendance Management System is a desktop/web-based application designed to
automate the manual process of recording student attendance and tracking academic performance. Traditional
register-based methods are time-consuming, error-prone, and make it difficult to generate timely reports for faculty
and administration. This system provides a centralized database where attendance can be marked electronically,
marks and grades can be recorded, and consolidated performance reports can be generated instantly, improving
efficiency and accuracy across the institution.
2. Introduction
Educational institutions handle large volumes of student data on a daily basis, including attendance records, internal
assessment marks, and semester results. Managing this data manually using registers and spreadsheets is inefficient
and prone to human error. The proposed system digitizes these processes into a single application, allowing
administrators, faculty, and students to interact with accurate, real-time data.
This report documents the objectives, scope, system analysis, design, implementation approach, and future scope of
the Student Performance and Attendance Management System.
