The table gives information about changes of visitors who
spend for international travel in 1990, 1995, 200 and 2005.
Overall, all of areas around the world witnessed increased
considerably between 1990 to 2005.
In 1990, vistors who traveld in Europe was the highest
sector among five areas, accounting for 280.2 millions
people. In contrast, in Africa and Middle East which was
lowest figures only 9.8 and 18.2 millions, respective. While
80.5 of millions people was true for American, Asia and the
Pacific contributing only around 60 millions.
Regarding 2005, the total number people who traveled to
Europe still remained the highest people of the entire areas,
with 400.2 millions. In Asia and the Pacific was more than a
twice figure than previous one, accounting for 135.8
millions- a 75.6 millions. In America, the number of people
who went for travelling witnessed a significant rise to 118.2
millions in 2000 before declining to 113.2 in 2005. While a
slightly rise was seen in Africa and Middle East, only 28.7
and 15.8 millions, respectively.
Many people go to university for academic study. More
people should be encouraged to do vocational training
because there is a lack of qualified workers such as
electricians and plumbers. To what extent do you agree
or disagree?
Some individuals indicate that going to university is
necessary for academic achievments, while others believe
that vocational training should be more attention due to
lacking in qualification for electrians, plumbers and so on. I
partly agree with this suggestion based on some reasons
that are explained further in this essay.
On the one hand, there some reason that going to the
university should be spended for academic study. Academic
study allows students to understand deeply and completely
in their subjects, which helps them develop career prospects
and opportunities in the furture such as doctors,
architectures and so on. This can understandable that
students tend to choose prevalent occupations and high
salary, which demands in deeply academic knowledge. As a
resutl, students have a tendency to choose academic
subjects serving their broand horizons.
On the other hand, although it is undeniablely important of
university graduates, training in kills professions such as
electricians and plumbers plays a crucial role in
construction. As vacational courses can be cooperated with
student’s subjects in curriculum, which can help them
experience realistic such as surgery operations. This can be
used as a preparation and curriculm for their academic
study in university. Thus, vacational courses provide
students new skills adapting the theory of physics lessons to
practical applications in daily life.
In conclusion, there are mixed opinions about determing the
role of the vacational coures in the university. I strongly
believe that the training skills that qualified workers should
be more encouraged and conducted, and not be ignored. The
reasons is practical applications and realistic experiences
helping students for preparations and equiping knowledge in
the university that important for career prospects.
The pie graphs provide information about the proportions of
online sales in four sectors namely travel, film and music,
books and clothes in New Zealand between 2003 and 2013.
Overall, while the percentage of film and music and books
increased, the revert was true for figures of travel and
clothes.
In 2003, travel products and services contributed the most
largest among four sectors to retail online landscape of New
Zealand, accounting for 36% of the entire sales. Another
24% was generated by sale clothes, while around one fifth
making up was contributed by sales books and film and
music.
Regarding the pie chart in 2013, the total proportion of film
and music increased considerably, making it the sales was
highest figure at 33% of overall sales. Conversely, travel
products and services became less important as a sales
sector, with acontributing of only 29% - a 7% decreased from
previous figure. While clothes sales were responsible for
16%, more than 20% was seen in the book sales sector.
The graph and table illustrate information about water usage
of the world and water-consuming in two distinct countries
namely Brazil and Democraric Republic of Congo. Overall,
the water used in agriculture field was highest among three
sectors. Also, the consumption of water was considerably
higher in Brazil than Congo.
Look at the graph, in 1199, the water was used in the
agriculture was the highest among others sectors around
5000 km of water all over the world. The figures for
industrial and domestic water make up around one fifth of
that amount. By 2000, 3000 km of water was used by the
agriculture sector worldwide, making it the sector remained
the biggest the proportion of water usage. Also, followed by
the industrial and domestic water that are the same with the
first tage, just under half of agriculture’s rate, and roughly
500 km, respectively.
In 2000, the population in Brazil and Congo was 176 and 5.2
million respectively. Although residents in Brazil was bigger
than Congo, land-irrigation was more than three times lower.
In Brazil, the water consumption individual was at 359 m,
which much higher to compare other counterpart, at only 8
m.
The line graph illustrate the millions of tones acid rain
emissions of four exceptional fields in the UK from 1990 to
2007. Overall, millions of tones acid rain emissions of
Transport and communication slightly rise, while, the
opposite was true for three others sectors.
In 1990, around 3.3 million tones of acid rain emissions
came from the electricity, gas and water supply field that
was the highest among others sectors. Followed by, the acid
rain emissions of other industries, transport and
communication and domestic with about 2.1, 0.8 and 0.6
million tones respectively.
Over the next 17 years, the total amount of acid rain
emissions from domestic dropped significantly to aroud 0.2
millions tones in 2007, making it the sector with lowest
emissions. Conversely, the emissions electricity, gas and
water supply increased sightly to only 0.5 millions tones in
order to be the field with the second highest emissions. Also,
in 2003, both trasport and communication and electricity
areas with the same figures around 0.9 millions tones. In
other industries ares, nevertheless, the emissions fell
considerably to about 1.2 millions tones, it still remained the
sector with the highest emissions.
The line chart illustrates the percentage of internet users in
different countries, including USA, Canada and Mexico from
1999 to 2009. Overall, while the proportion of population
who used the internet in Canada was the highest, the
opposite was true for the figures of Mexico. Additionally, in
the USA still remained a large rate in the internet usage
In 1999, the percentage of residents in the USA who used
the internet was the highest among three countries, about
20%. Canada followed with the figures considerably lower
rate of 10% internet users. In Mexico, nevertheless, the
ration of using the internet was the lowest, reaching at
around 5%.
Over the next a decade, the rates of the internet usage of
both the USA and Canada was highest internet users rate in
2005. While, in Mexico the consumption rate of the internet
was drastically lower than counterparts, about just over
25%. In 2009, the total percentage of residents in Canada
increased significantly to almost 100%, making it the
country with the highest users. In contrast, in Mexico, the
rate of internet users was lowest with about 40%, despite
experienced a increase in this country. Meanwhile, up to
80% of Americans that become a country with the second
highest figure.
There is a lot of pressure on young people today to
succeed academically. As a result, some people believe
that non-academic subjects, such as physical education
and cookery, should be removed from the school
syllabus so that children can concentrate on academic
work.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some individuals believe that removing non-academic
subjects, including physical education and cookery from the
school syllabus that students can focus on academic
achievement due to pressing on young adults for academical
success. Personally, I partly agree with this suggestion based
on some reasons that are explained further in this essay.
On the one hand, there are some reasons why non-academic
subjects should be removed in school in order for
concentrating on academic achievement improvement. In
the past, with poor competition between students, thus
people have a tendency to learn for gaining knowledge and
experience without thinking about achievements. As a result,
the school syllabus offer all subjects, including non-academic
subjects. In contrast, with competitive between students
who pessured by academical success and achievements.
Thus, the removal of non-acacdemic subjects is necessary for
children that can concentrate on academic subjects. As a
result, with more time allocated on the main subjects such
as maths, physics and economics, students might be better
their important exams. This can lead to academic
achievement improvement in these areas, which are crucial
for their potential opportunities career.
On the other hand, there are some reason why non-academic
subjects should not be ignored and removed in the school
syllabus. If schools removed non-academic subjects such as
physical education and cookery, students would become
academic person like a robot that only focus on academic
subjects without experiencing in their life, thus, these
students will not be able to deal with social issues and
promote physical health. As a result, non-academic subjects
is player of importance in education, teaching them crucial
life skills and helping them develop variety range of subjects
which contributes their knowledge to be deeper people that
are valuable in everyday life and future career.
In conclusion, although the benefits of removing non-
academic subjects bring to young students that can
concentrate on main subjects, helping them gain more
academical success and potential opportunity career in the
future, the non- academic subjects also should not be
deleted in the school syllabus due the importance of its
improving life skills and physical health. I strongly believe
that value of non-academic in the school should not be
removed because of the its helpful that help us improve both
social and academic knowledge.
The pictures show the innovations of the small town called
Shipmouth in the two different times between 1995 and
2010. Overall, it appears that the small town Shipmouth has
become much more modern and convenient town, with more
transports and shopping facilities.
One of the most remarkable changes is that Shipmouth has
been replaced a factory by a new shopping center near the
sea. In the north-west of the town, plant trees have been cut
down to make way for the construction of new apartment
blocks.
In 1995, there was not any sports area for residents, with
the aim of entertaining, a footbal stadium has been built in
the bottom of the map. Another striking change is that it has
been pedestrianized since 2010, and a new tram line has
been constructed in the north of the city center.
If we look at the east side of the city, the town used to be a
green area and with some small houses, but it has been
turned into an airport and new skyscrapers respectively,
making the city Shipmouth more convenient for traveling
and a modern city in the last 15 years. Additionally, the city
has been converted a pub into a church in the north-east of
the city center.

The diagram shows the process by which tomato ketchup is
produced. Overall, there are 15 stages in the process,
including the nursery of tomatos and picking them by
famers, applying heat on them, and delivery and packaging
to supermarket and household.
The first step begins with the picking of tomatoes from fields
and farming by a farmer. This selected tomatoes are then put
in a basket and sorted into fresh or damaged tomatoes to
ensure consistency and being conveyed to a factory after
then. The selected tomatoes are then processed by removing
stalk, seeds and skin before being placed into a container in
order to be ground. After the crushing step, seasonings may
be added to the liquid such as sugar, vinegar and salt, and
taken on the boiling step.
The tomato liquid is left in the next stage as the freshly
liquid cools down in two hours. The tomatoes liquid is then
poured into bottles and designed logo of firms. After that,
the quality of tomatoes ketchups are then examined.
In the last step, the ketchups are then packaged together
into large boxes before being transported to supermarks and
consumers by a truck.
The processes illustrates the process which bee makes
honey, and outlining various stages of its production.
Overall, there are six stages of honey production cycle by
bees , from nursing eggs in the honeycomb and picking
nectar from flowers and bringing obtained nectars to the
hive. Besides produced honey by worker bees, a process of
honey production for distribution and selling, including the
expeling honeycomb by beekeepers, boiling and cleaning
them, advertising and distribution to shops and consumers
The first stage, a bee queen lays eggs in a honeycomb, these
eggs are nurtured and then after three days, these eggs
become larvas before fully growth to give rise to worker
bees after seven days in the larva form. A process of worker
bees who leaving their hive in search of flowers. Once,
finding a suitable flower, they gathering the nectar from the
flower by using their proboscis. The nectar is then stored
into the bee’s stomach and transported in the hive
In terms of the honey production, the step begins with the
honeycomb being removed from the hive by a beekeeper.
After the expelling step, the extract of honey is then taken
on by a machine before heating on them, and it is then
cleaned. The cleaned honey is then poured and packaged
into jars. In the final step, the honey is ready for
consumption by customers, being transported and traded.
The picture illustrates the process by which the kind of coal
is applied for electricity production. Overall, The entire
procedure consists of three core phrases, including the
mining of raw coal from the ground and grinding the coal,
and applying heat on them then cooling down, and
distributing electricity to households and factories.
The first stage begins with the extraction of raw coal from
the ground using a miner. The extracted coal is then ground
to ensure consistency as a crusher breaks down clumps in
the coal. The ground coal is then conveyed by a truck to
different manufactories.
The first one, in which the process of heating occurs employs
a gasifier as the new state of coal becomes gas, while the
second one uses cooling for coal gas which creates waste
heat, releasing into the air. After being cooled, the cooled
gas is then cleaned before transfering to a gas power plant
exposing the waste heat once again. The final stage the
electricity is produced from the gas power plant and
distributed to households and electric factories.
The pictures indicate that how recent changes in the city of
Kimsville. Overvall, a prominent area at the bottom of the
map has been built a sport facilitiy. Also, a conventional
factory on the right side of the map has been upgraded with
modernized company, and more transportation facilities on
the opposite side.
One of the most remarkable changes in the map is that the
plant trees have been knocked down to make way for the
construction of a new football stadium. In the north-west of
the stadium, a new pub has been added in order to replace
the old cinema.
Importantly, the factory has also changed drastically. This
old manufacturing facility has become a software company
without releasing emissions from factory in 2002s. In the
western side of the city center, there did not any facility
existed and a new train stration has been constructed,
making the city from a quiet area into a busier city with
modernizd facilities.
Another striking changes is the on the top of the map,
particularly in the north-west side of the city, In 2002, there
was not any residential accommodation here, instead it was
a wooded area, but new apartments has been built near the
shopping center.
In recent years, the family structure has changed, as well as
family roles. What are the changes occurring. Do you think

In this day and age, changing structure of family and roles is

reasons why it becomes prevail before assessing it is

12/5 .Some say giving to charity helps reduce poverty,
whereas others insist it makes the problem worse ?
Some individuals are of the claim that the ability to improve
hardship by doing charity is a potential idea, while others
suggest that making it deteriorate. Although both schools of
thought hold merit, I agree with the former perspective.
On the one hand, there are some reasons that explain why
raising money for charitable organisations to alleviate
difficulties is highly important and should be done. In the
past, people suffered from the post war and not advanced
technology and science improvement, thus, humans and
nations had a tendency to focus on family finance and
national economy development. As a result, there was not
any charitable organisation to help poor people. In contrast,
fostering the economy and cooperation between many
countries. Thus, humans start attending to difficult
situations or areas such as remote areas, minority people
and especially after experiencing floods and natural
disasters, leading to life quality and health improvement
due to advanced medical care, enhancing the illness and
mortality rate.
On the other hand, it is understandable that some
individuals believe that doing charity can make issues get
worse. One distinctive difference between true people in
trouble and others is awareness of effort. Which means that
it will become more helpful and meaningful due to the
charity to right individuals who are special in need. Thus,
they make use of these supports as a motivation to foster
and improve their quality of life. However, the inappropriate
support can instil in poor people a sense of dependence,
leading to losing attempts for work and changing due to the
subsidy of authority monthly, making them get worse about
morals and become lazy individuals, causing stagnation in
their life improvement.
In conclusion, although there are mixed opinions about
determining the role of doing charity in our current society. I
believe that organising funds can offer value to community
that should not be ignored. The reason is that the life quality
and health of individual in needs can be improved if people
put enough effort into developing. Thus, funding will
outweigh any drawbacks, leading to a crucial role in this day
and age.
26/5. In recent years, many goverments have brought in
laws to ban smoking in public places, such as bars,
retaurants and offices. To what extent do you agree or
disagree with banning smoking in public places?
In this day and age, banning smoking in public places, such
as bars, restaurants and offices was given by many nations.
Personally, I totally agree with this suggestion based on
some reasons that are explained in this essay.
The primary justification for smoking prohibition in public
areas is undeniable harm to both smokers and non-smokers.
In the past, there were no laws enacted to prevent smokers
from using tobacco in publics areas, which often leaves
smoke in the air, called ‘ secondhand smoke’ known as
environmental tobacco smoke. Thus, there is a significanltly
increase risk of respiratory illnesses, heart diseases and lung
cancers, even in individuals who do not smoke. As a result,
the smoking prohibition in public can leads to a reduction in
medical admission, mortality rates related to smoking-
related diseases. Additionally, the presence of smoking can
impact other vulnerable individuals such as children and
elderly.
Another reason why I am in favour of this argument is that
the individual’s freedom to use tobacco in public is legal,
though, this is not absolute and must be balanced between
personal and communitarian to protect a common healthy
and safe environment. More than that, public health
consequences of smoking not only involve individual
smokers, affecting families, communities and so on. Thus,
the community rights to enjoy and live in a safe environment
outweighs private rights to smoke in public spaces.
Especially, harmful effects of secondhand smoke.
It is important to acknowledge that the potential economy of
the smoking industry plays a crucial role in the economic
development field of any nation. Nevertheless, public health
is more fundanmental than any economic benefits. Thus,
when laws of smoking ban are published, leading to a
reduction of production and consumption of tobacco,
especially demand of individual smokers. As a result,
medical health care costs become more effective and a
healthy workforce will be able to contribute to economic
growth in the long run.
In conclusion, it is necessary and reasonable to bring in laws
of smoking prohibition to protects non-smokers from
secondhand smoke, and improve mutual community health. I
strongly believe that the public health will outweigh any
economic benefits short-term.

The pictures illustrate the main changes which have taken
place in the Port Harbour between the year 2000 and today.
In general, it appears that Port Harbour has upgraded with
more facilities, with far more cafes & shop and
accommodation facilities.
One interesting change is that a new dock has been built, to
serve passenger in tourism seasons. In 2000, fishing boats
were located nearby the road and the car park in the south
of the harbour, while marina was introduced at the front of
fishing boats, but there was a reversal of location on of both
places. Another striking change is that showers and toilets in
the middle of two car parks have been constructed, making
it the harbour was more convenient and modern with fully
facilities for travellers or passengers.
If we look at the bottom of the map, there was not any
entertainment facilities, but cafes and shops have been built
near the lifeboat. The south-east of the harbour used to be a
castle, with lots of characteristics of the 20th century, but
the castle has been knocked down to make way for new
hotel. A final interesting development has been introduction
of a private beach for hotel’s customers.

The growing number of overweight people is putting a strain
on the health care system in an effort to deal with the health
issues involved. Some people think that the best way to deal
with this problem is to introduce more physical education
lessons in the school curriculum. To what extend do you
agree or disagree
TCA:
Some individuals believe that dealing with the rising number
of obese people who cause for the health care system is to
establish more physical lessions in the teaching program. I
completely agree that this is the best way to handle the issue
of deteriorating public health weigh involved.
Firstly, dealing with the issues surrounding obesity and
weight is the best solved by taking a long-term approach and
introducing more sports and exercises. This method ensure
that the next generation will suffer any health problem and
more healthier. In the past, almost health problems such as
overweights and obesities do not exist due to work by hand
without advanced technology. In other word, workers often
do a large number of manual work such work on the
construction site, which requires have a good physical.
Comparing to present, intellectual work or depend on
technology, which can lead to health problems, this is
because that workers often only sit on computer for their
working for a long time without taking a rest, which can
cause a overweight osmotic in each individuals. At the
moment, the average people do sport possibly twice a week,
which is twice as lower as before. However, by incorporating
more
- The working week should be shorter and workers
should have a longer weekend.
Do you agree or disagree?
The day and age, some individuals suggest that the time of
working during the week should be decreased and time of
weekend day should be spent for workers is longer. In my
opinion, I totally agree with this point of view and this essay
I will support my view and with examples.
Firstly, one of the main positives of that is that workers can
more freedom in their life without constrained time. In the
past, labours and workers often worked all their time of the
week, even the weekends. As a result, this could make their
health worsen by long continuous working hours, along with
medical health facilities was not comprenhensively develop,
which could lead to workers dead sooner. At present, labours
have a tendency for shorter working hours during the week,
and they often free in the weekends. Which means that
workers can spend more time beside their family, doing
some activities such as picnic, walking and so on, especially,
their health can be improved by shorter working hours. For
instance, Vietnamese reports, there are more than a half of
workers’ health is improved due to reducing working hours.
In daily life, this tendency helps people who suffered from
long working hours better the quality of life and improve
their enjoyment of life.
Secondly, extending weekends can significantly improve
employee well-being. With more time to spend on personal
interests, hobbies, and family activities, workers can achieve
a better work-life balance, which is crucial for mental and
physical health. The pressures of modern life often leave
individuals with little time to relax and rejuvenate, leading to
stress and burnout. By providing longer weekends,
employers can help mitigate these issues, leading to happier
and healthier employees. This, in turn, can reduce turnover
rates and create a more positive work environment.
Moreover, a shorter working week can also lead to
environmental benefits. With fewer days spent commuting,
there is a potential reduction in carbon emissions and traffic
congestion. This aligns with global efforts to address climate
change and promotes a more sustainable way of living. For
instance, if more businesses adopt a four-day workweek, the
cumulative reduction in daily commutes could make a
significant impact on reducing pollution levels.
In conclusion, reducing the length of the working week and
extending weekends offer numerous advantages, including
increased productivity, improved employee well-being, and
environmental benefits. While some may argue that a
shorter workweek could lead to reduced economic output,
the evidence suggests that the opposite may be true. A well-
rested, motivated workforce is more likely to be productive
and innovative, benefiting both employers and society as a
whole. Therefore, I strongly support the idea of
implementing a shorter working week and longer weekends

The chart below shows the results of a survey about
people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in
five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting
the main features, and make comparisons where
relevant.
The chart illustrates the outcomes of a review about coffee
and tea purchasing and consuming behaviours of residents
of five Australian cites. Overall, the percentage of people
buying fresh coffe was lower than the figures for residents
buying its instant counterpart. Additionally, at least more
than a half of the entire population of five cities went to a
café for coffee and tea in this period.
The percentages of residents in Sydney and Melbourne who
purchased fresh coffee in the last four weeks were the
highest among all other cities, ranging from 43% to 44%.
The rate in Hobart was slightly lower, reaching just under
40%, while the figures for Adeleide and Brisbane were the
lowest, with roughly 35%.
The instant version of regular coffee was purchased by a
larger proportion of residents in all these five cities. Up to
53% to 54% of individuals residing in Hobart and Brisbane
opted for this product in the surveyed period, which were
the highest in the chart. In Melbourne and Adeleide,
approximately a half all residents purchased the same
product in this timeframe, while only 45% of people in
Sydney had the same purchases.
Residents in Melbourne, Hobart and Sydney who went to a
café for coffee or tea in the last four weeks accounted for
more than 60%, making these figures the largest in all these
five cites. Conversely, the proportion of residents in Adelaide
who went to a café was the lowest amid all other cities,
reaching just under a half, while about 56% all inhabitants in
Brisbane went to a café in this period.
The bar chart illustrates the rates of different of magazines
sold by a company over a 40-year period from 1975 to 2015.
Overall, while the rate of Sports magazines considerably
increased, the opposite was true for the figures of Fashion
and Health. In addition, Food and Others stayed unchanged
after 40 years.
Looking at the details, in 1925, the rate of Sports magazines
was the highest at more than 30%, followed by those of
Health and Others, Fashion and Food with just over 25%,
and ten per cent, respectively.
Over the next 40 years, there was a significant increase in
the rate of Sports magazines ( from about 30% in 1975 ) to
well over 40% in 2015, making it the kind of magazines with
the highest figure in 2015. Conversely, Fashion and health
magazines considerably dropped between 1975 and 2015 to
five per cent, and to 20% in 2015, respectively. Meanwhile,
Food and others magazines both witnessed a significant
increase before a considerable decline, finally reaching 10%
and roughly 27% in 2015 in turn.
Some people think that competition at work, at school and in
daily life is a good thing. Others believe that we should try to
cooperate more, rather than competing against each other.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Some individuals suggest that competing at the workplace,
at academy and daily interactions is a brilliant element,
while others argue that cooperation is beneficial than
competition. In my opinion, I agree with the former view, and
in this essay I will look at both sides of these argument.
On the one hand, many think it is easier for personal and
professional growth. In other words, having competition at
the workplace can instill workers a sense of high
performance and efficiency. When individuals are motivated
to outperform their peers, which can motivate them push
their limits, leading to increased productivity and innovation.
Similarly, in educational settings, competition among
students can lead to a higher academic achievement as
students strive to excel and gain recognition. Daily life also
benefits from competition, encouraging people to constantly
improve and adapt, thereby enhancing overall societal
progress.
However, having cooperation is equally compelling.
Cooperation promotes a sense of unity and shared purpose,
which can lead to more sustainable and inclusive outcomes.
In a cooperative work environment, team members
collaborate to achieve common goals, often leading to more
creative solutions and a more supportive atmosphere. In
schools, cooperative learning encourages students to work
together, which not only fosters their understanding of the
teaching materials, but also helps crucial social skills. In
everyday life, cooperation among residents can lead to a
stronger community and better relationship, addressing
common challenges and achieving mutual benefits together.
In conclusion, although there are some debates about
competition and cooperation, in my opinion, I strongly
believe that the cooperation will be more efficient than
competition. Meaning that cooperation fosters a more
inclusive and supportive environment. However, this not
mean that competition is not play a crucial role in our life,
due to the ability of competition that can drive individual
achievement and innovation.
