SCRIPT

Good morning Ms. Vanessa and friends, my name is Corey and I will be
talking about DSA or direct school admission.

So, my first school choice that I have applied is ACS independent. My DSA
talent for that school is robotics as I have a strong interest in robotics, and
this school gives me the opportunity to DSA here with my robotics skill.

My second and third school choice is NUSH, or National University of


Singapore High School as I like both the subjects Mathematics and
Science. Mathematics and Science are the subjects that I also have been
doing well for recently.

So, what is/are my greatest strength(s)? I am good at robotics, but I used


to hate coding, but after my father sent me to robotics classes, I started
getting the hang of it. I had already participated in the competition after
about three quarters in the class. I progressed to a new robot to code after
about 3 years of coding it, finishing my first checkpoint. I then proceeded
to making AI chatbots. All this made robotics one of my strengths.

My greatest weakness is the effect of my greatest strength, being


disorganized. Because of all the schoolwork and robotics work, I get
overwhelmed with much work and let everything become disorganized.
Sometimes, even making me look for my items for about 10 minutes. I
resolved this issue by using post it notes to label places to put my items
at. During the test periods, I will usually take out a lot of worksheets to
look through and some practice papers to do. Then, I would have no time
to pack my items as it was already almost midnight. So, I just stuffed it
everywhere. Then, I used the method of post it notes to organize my
items. So now my bookshelf looks relatively neat.

How do I spend my free time, some people ask. I usually do word


problems for math, do science problems or code my robots at home. I
picked this hobby up last year as when I finally got good grades for my
subjects, I felt that after solving math and science problems, I would feel
proud of myself, so I developed a problem-solving hobby.

What are some current affairs? Because of AI, jobs are being taken away.
By using Robotics, Mathematics and Science, I can code AI help with the
job but not make people lose jobs. This can make more people average
people and not homeless as they would each have a job that suits them.
