Personal Development

Name:Carl Jester Abarra. Grade: 11

Section: ABM

Output
A. Write how you would define yourself if you have the following concepts:

Concept. Defining Yourself

 Self-Concept— I am a kind person and I use it in the right way that I know to achieve
my goals in life.
 Self-Efficacy— I am a grade 11 student who struggles with math
 Self-Esteem— I tried to apply for a basketball team that I really want to join but I didn’t
get in, but instead of thinking “l’m a failure” I thought “I'm disappointed, but
this doesn’t define my value. I know I have strengths, and I’ll
keep trying."
 Self-Complexity— I am a ZMC student. I mostly see myself in terms of my academics— I
studies all the time, talks mostly to classmate, and ties my self-worth to my grade.

Self-Worth— Without self-worth:

“I lost my job. I must be a failure. I’ll never be good enough. No one will respect me now.”
With self-worth:
“I’m disappointed I lost my job, but that doesn’t define my value. I’m still a capable, worthy
person, and I will find new opportunities. This setback doesn't change who I am.
B. Essay
[Link] do you usually react when someone gives feedback on your output or performance?

- I don't react, why? because if I made a mistake in my performance, it's their right to point it out and I'm just
using that as inspiration to change and correct what I did wrong.

2. How do you usually react when someone says he or she dislikes you?

- I don’t react again, why? Because If he/she don't like me, I don't care about them. If they don't like me, I
don't like them too, because it's simple, if they don't like me, they shouldn't tell me because they know how
I'll feel if he/she tell me that.

3. How would you want your future self to be?

- I want to be successful because that's all my parents want from me and then I'll give them a good life like the
life they gave to me.

4. How does social media affect how you view yourself?

- Social media doesn't affect me because I get a lot of information not only from studying but also from what's
happening around me.

5. How do you usually react to rejection? How does having self-efficacy help you overcome rejection?
- Rejection can be difficult to face, and it's normal to feel hurt, disappointed, or even discouraged. However, I
try to see rejection as a learning opportunity rather than a personal failure. Having self-efficacy helps me
stay confident in my abilities and reminds me that one rejection doesn't define my worth or potential. It
pushes me to try again, improve, and stay motivated despite setbacks.
