Skip size:
Indicates the maximum skip capacity in kilo-grams. Notice:
recipe batch size. When loading into a skip the skip capacity
determines the batch size.
Skip discharge time:
Skip delay time. Indicates the time difference in seconds from
receipt of the signal
"skip empty" and closing of the discharge door. The "Basic
Parameters" described above would be entered for each row
of component to avoid losses in the mixing capacity.
Starting delay:
Indicates the difference in seconds from receipt of the
signal "start skip" and closing of the discharge door.
Start impulse:
Length of the start signal. Notice: do not reset the start
impulse otherwise the skip doesn’t start up.
4.11 Recipe Page -2- Parameters set
On the second side of the input matrix for the basic
parameters the commencement of "fine feed", free fall and
change over point values for each bin are determined.
On confirmation another descriptive display for the
parameters, all fine and coast points from all scales can be
changed at the same time. It is thus possible, settings are
to be individually specified for each Recipe and if necessary
change to a another record.
On clicking on the right arrow the following descriptive

Fine feed:
Indicates the remaining amount to be weighed off in kgs,
from each corresponding bin, when the feed rate changes to
"Fine Feed". In this example the indicated Fine Feed amount
is 180kg
Notification:
A fine feed weighing is only possible if the feed unit is
installed according to the latest standards. Otherwise the
required fine feed value is zero. The fine feed flow rate
depends on the position of the limit switch of the feed
cylinder. Silo outlet.
Free fall:
Means the recommended value of the free fall material. The
entered value would be automatically deducted from the
total value required providing a constant shut off value.

other components have been measured.
5.01.01 Basic parameter- page 1-options
Retare after Batch:
On entering Yes, the weigh hopper will be re-tared after
every batch. On entering NO results in the weigh hopper
being retared on commencement of a new recipe not after
each new batch.
Automatic Correction:
When the function ”Automatic Correction” is selected by Yes
the programme operates with flow rate speed dependent on
Freefall compensation and additionally, self regulating jog
feed correction that means the programme determines
during the weighing process continuously the flow rate of
the individual mix components and compensates any
weighing error resulting from flow rate fluctuations.
Halt Tolerance Exceeded:
Halt the mix process, correct the batch manually or dispose
of.
Printer:
(by material usage - by Recipes) After selecting the function
”Printout” (enter digits in Start menu and CR key) the

5.02.01 Basic parameter Page -2- Articel
The table contains all articles set up for the asphalt mixture
process. The number of articles, which are set up for each
scale, is not limited. Each article must have an uniquely
defined article number, to which it reffered to. The
designation should give detailed information about the
article to the operator. The abbreviation is limited up to
seven alphanumeric symbols. The abbreviation of the article
is shown in the main image as a component below the
respective scale.
Note: The abbreviation will be updated only after the start
or calculation of the components.

5.02.02 Basic parameter Page -2- Tank allocation
In the table all available bitumen tanks are specified with
the current article allocation.
The selection of the appropriate tank takes place by
program control, if there is a clear assignment.
To ensure clearness, as per example, one or more tanks
with the same allocation must be blocked.
For each tank a minimum and maximum temperature can
be indicated.
The adherence to these temperatures can be checked in
history.
5.02.03 Basic parameter Page -2- AVD Articel
In the table all available Cold Feed articles are specified.
Each article must have an uniquely defined article number,
to which it reffered to. The designation should give detailed
information about the article to the operator. The
abbreviation is limited up to seven alphanumeric symbols.
The abbreviation of the article is shown in the main image
as a component on the top of the appropriate feeder.
Note: In addition the appropriate article must be clearly
assigned in the current Cold Feed allocation.
The specification of the moisture only has influence on the
Feeder, which dose according to gravimetric measuring
procedure.
Material without residual moisture has the factor 1.
For a residual moisture of, for example, 4% the factor 1.04
must to be entered.
This information will be an option, to adjust the smaller
quantity resulting from the moisture.

5.02.04 Basic parameter Page -2- AVD Cold Feed allocation
In this table the allocation of material from the Feeders is
administered.
Several materials can be assigned to a Feeder.
If an order is produced by recipe-control, the necessary
Feeders with the material assigned in this table will be
activated by program control.
If the allocation is not uniquely defined, i.e. there are
several Feeders with the same material, the necessary Cold
feed performance will be split up on the Feeders which are
not closed.
The Discharge of a Feeder depends on the kind of mineral
as well as the size of the grain.
Each volumetric Feeder must be calibrated by level and be
entered into the table.
The column group makes it possible to summarize several
Feeders in a group, in order to control the capacity by
grouping.
The option will be available to the user only in an extended
version.

5.02.05 Basic parameter Page -2- Cold Feeding
In this table the parameters of the available Feeders will be
adjusted.
The On/Off Delay shows the time which the individual
materials need to run up to the drum.
By setting the hook in the column vibrator the keys for
manual serving of the vibrator will be shown on the main
picture.
In the program, if the appropriate sensors are present, with
shortages of materials after the "Vibrator Delay", the
corresponding Vibrator
for the duration of "Vibrator Running time" turned on. To
avoid mechanical damage by continuous vibrate for a
maximum duration of Vibrator is turned off.
In the column „Max [s]“ the time is adjusted, thereafter, a
shortage of material, a stop of the entire cold feeders is
accomplished.
If a shortage of material enters at one of the Feeders,
which have a value unequal 0 in this column, then a stop
for the entire cold feeders will be initiated.
Hereby It is insignificant , whether the Feeders was started
manually, or in the automatic operation.
