Summer Assignment – Class XII Tourism & Hospitality

Theme: "Be a Tourism Ambassador of Your Place"


Imagine you have been appointed as a tourism ambassador by your state tourism department. Your
task is to create a 3–5 minute tourism vlog promoting a destination in your hometown, village or
town.
Your vlog should include:
➢ Introduction to yourself and the destination.
➢ Name and location of the place.
➢ Historical or cultural significance.
➢ Main attractions (nature, heritage, food, festivals, crafts, etc.).
➢ How to reach the destination.
➢ Best time to visit.
➢ Facilities available for tourists.
➢ Challenges or areas that need improvement.
➢ Suggestions to promote tourism at the destination.
➢ End with a 30–60 second promotional advertisement inviting tourists to visit.
➢ Optional (Bonus)
1. Interview a local resident, guide, artisan or shopkeeper.
2. Include local cuisine or souvenirs.
3. Share one interesting fact or local legend.
4. Suggest ways to make tourism more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Students living in towns/cities can showcase parks, churches, temples, markets, cafés,
museums, monuments, lakes, street-food areas, viewpoints or even a famous
neighbourhood.

Total Marks: 20
Submission Deadline: 5th August 2026
Please submit your presentation on or before 5th August. Late submissions may not
be accepted unless prior permission has been granted.
