Method 1 - Using Claude

Step 1 | Import & Prepare the Data

1. Open Assignment_Data.csv in Excel.​


2. Press Ctrl + T to convert to a table.​
3. In Table Design → Table Name, type 'SalesData'.​

Step 2 | Ask Claude for Pivot Steps

Prompt:​
I have an Excel dataset with columns: Date, Region, Product, Sales_Value, and Profit.​
I want to summarize total Sales by Region in Excel. Write me exact steps to create a PivotTable
for this. ​

Follow Claude’s instructions:​
- Insert → PivotTable → New Worksheet​
- Region → Rows, Sales → Values (Sum of Sales)​
- Format numbers → Comma Style

Step 3 | Ask Claude for Chart Suggestions

2. Rename table to 'SalesData'.

Step 2 | Analyze Data button:

Select Insert PivotTable.

Step 3 | Add Charts with AI

Select the Data​


Prompt to Copilot:​
Suggest two different chart types to visualize Sales by Region and create them.​
