Introduction to the topic: How IT can play a role in environmental management &
sustainability development (summary of at least 30 words)
Objectives: (write down at least 4 objectives of environmental management &
sustainability development as a subject in the curriculum.)
Student is directed to make/design a 5-page Magazine based on the theme Old India
v/s New India. Student can give a title to the journal of his/her own choice. The
magazine should comprise the following aspects mentioned in the below sub topics:

Sub topics: 1) title


2) table of contents
3) sections/departments (science/technology/art/defense/town planning
etc. wherein IT has helped to preserve
environment by not causing harm via the above
mentioned section in a summarized form)
4) feature articles (any article available on internet based on the theme of
the magazine. If there is no such article available, you
can conduct an interview and make your own article
based on the theme. The interview questions should be
based on the theme compulsorily.)

Analysis supplemented with case illustrations: (feature articles – article will be


the case study.)
Implementation: Review any 2 IT model which you come across for environment
management & sustainable development. (Issues/modifications/benefits/further
developments)
Process: (Explain the section you have selected and explain the sequence in brief
form For Eg. Sati act – How it started and how it ended – old India Abolition
of rituals post the death of husband in context with such women.)

Conclusion: (based on the magazine – the data collected for it, summarise your
understanding and conclude it.)
