Q1. Alice lives directly south of Bob, at the same distance as Charlie, who lives west of Bob. Bob is
hosting a dinner. Alice cycles at 24 km/h and arrives 2 hours late. Charlie drives at 72 km/h and
arrives 30 minutes early. At what time was the dinner scheduled?

Q2. A train leaves City A for City B at 80 km/h. Another train leaves City B for City A at 120 km/h,
one hour later. They meet after 3 hours of the second train’s travel. What is the distance between
the two cities?

Q3. Tom and Jerry start walking towards each other from two towns 150 km apart. Tom walks at 6
km/h and Jerry at 4 km/h. After 5 hours, Tom’s dog starts running back and forth between them at
12 km/h until they meet. What total distance does the dog run?

Q4. A plane leaves Sydney at 9:00 AM flying west at 720 km/h. Another plane leaves from the
same point at 10:30 AM flying west at 960 km/h. At what time will the second plane catch up to the
first?

Q5. A car travels from Town A to Town B at 60 km/h and returns at 90 km/h. What is the average
speed of the round trip?

Section 2: Hard Percentage Problems

Q6. At a sports festival, 50% of attendees played football. Out of these, 30% also played basketball.
If 20% of those who played both also ran a race, what percent of all attendees did all three

Q7. At a carnival, 65% of visitors ate ice cream. Of those, 40% were children. If children made up
