[Link] an essay (about 180-250 words) (3 points) Many people prefer using public
transportation while others say that personal cars are the best means of transportation.
Excessive use of private cars is considered to be the main reason for the traffic jam in
many cities and that's the use of public transportation is encouraged. In your opinion,
what are the advantages of using public transport?
Bài tham khảo
There is no denying the fact that public transportation is one of the most important
priorities for any government. While it is a commonly held belief that using public
transportation is better for various reasons, there is also an argument against it. This essay will
discuss this topic and express the positives and negatives of using public transportation.
On the one hand, relying on public transportation may be beneficial for the city and
the community. In other words, using buses, the subway, and different types of mass transit has
a significant impact on people's lives. In addition , mass transportation helps reduce traffic jams
in cities. Also, riding mass transportation in commuting decreases the emission of gases, which
helps reduce pollution. For example, depending on the study, the pollution in Dubai witnessed
a reduction between 2020 and 2022 compared with 2019 due to people there starting to ride
the metro instead of their own cars.
On the other hand, using the general transit has many negative impacts. It is also
possible to say that public transport schedules may not always align with individual plans,
leading to waiting times and delays, while routes may be limited, requiring transfers and longer
travel times compared to commuting by personal vehicle. As well, there are many potential
concerns during rush hours. At that moment, public transportation can be crowded, so
passengers have to share the space with strangers, leading to discomfort and reduced personal
privacy. For example, overcrowding even increases the risk of diseases. Lastly, the
deterioration of physical infrastructure in public transit stations, especially in suburban and
rural regions, causes discomfort among customers.
In conclusion, there are many positives of using the general transits, Such as
reducing pollution. There are also many negatives to this step, like the issues of peak times.

2. Write an essay of about 200 words on the following topic. Parents are supposed to
respect their children's privacy in both virtual and real world. To what extent do you
agree or disagree with this view. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant
examples from your own knowledge and experience.

Whether parents are required to appreciate their kids’ cyber and reality privacy is a
matter of dispute. While some advocates believe that this can make family members believe
in each other, opponents cling to the idea that it is just an excuse of them to conceal bad things
they did. From my perspective, I strongly stand in sync with this statement for this
following rationales
Respecting children's privacy offers a plethora of upsides . To begin with, it
fosters trust and strengthens the relationship between the parents and children.
If parents respect their children's privacy, they will be more likely to share problems they meet.
Specifically, parents who always respect their children give those children more opportunities
to talk with their caretakers. Therefore, they will be more likely to be close with parents.
Moreover, respect is the precursor of emotional and physical betterment. For example, letting a
teenager manage their own social media teaches them responsibility and decision-making. On
the other hand, too much interference from parents can make children feel frustrated or
secretive, which might harm the relationship.
Despite those upsides , it is undeniable that guardians protection also plays a
vital role. First, everything in the world is a double-edge sword.
If parents don’t control their kids’behaviours, they can risk like cyberbullying, online predators,
or harmful content. In such cases, monitoring and preventing them from harmful things is the
best way. Younger kids, in particular, may not fully understand how to stay safe on the internet,
so parents need to guide them. In real life, situations like skipping school or hanging out with
bad influences also call for parental involvement.
In conclusion, parents should respect their children's privacy to build trust,
encourage independence, and support emotional growth. However, in certain situations, they
need to take actions to protect their children from harm. By balancing open communication
with responsible oversight, parents can create a safe and supportive environment. This
approach helps children grow into confident and independent individuals while staying safe in
both the real and online worlds.
=>totally agree
In this contemporary world, it is believed that parents shouldn't take control
of their children's privacy in virtual and real life. To my point of view, I partly agree with this
statement.
On the one hand, it is undeniable that parenting is a part of
every children's life. Parents have the responsibility to strictly supervise and care
for their children, typically by monitoring their children personal lives online and offline. In
terms of cyber world, there seem to be a lot of anti-social activities and
bad people, Children may easily fall into these harmful effects without parental guidance. A
specific example occurs in number of students when they involve in criminal activities such as
selling illegal items, posting online false information, etc. Furthermore, relationships
with people around them also need to be watched over. For children who are easily influenced
and do not maintain their stance, they have a tendency to imitate inappropriate actions from
others such as smoking, stealing, cursing, etc.
On the other hand, some adolescents are prone to sensitive emotions and
are easily irritable. Therefore, without parental involvement, children tend to express their true
feelings as well as show their hidden talents. What more is that they can communicate
with their friends comfortably, something that they always reluctant to share with their parents.
For instance, friends can show sympathy and understand what you are going through, from
that, they can encourage and give you useful advices.
To sum up, although many people have different opinions, I am of the opinion
that parents always play an important role in paying attention to children's actions on social
networks and in real life to ensure their safety with people they connect with.

3. Write an essay (about 200 words) on the following topic. (2.0 pts) It is said that tourism
is vital for the success of many economies around the world but it also has some bad
impacts on local people or local environment. To what extent do you agree with the
statement above? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from
your own knowledge or experience.

In recent years, tourism has become a crucial part of many countries around the world. I firmly
agree that it is vital for the success of many economies.
To begin with, tourism helps countries earn money and support economic growth. When
tourists travel abroad, they spend money on hotels, food, transport, and souvenirs. This
spending increases national income and provides foreign currency. For example, countries such
as Thailand and Vietnam earn a large part of their income from international visitors. As a
result, tourism becomes a key industry that helps these economies develop.
In addition, tourism creates jobs and improves public facilities. The tourism industry employs
local people in hotels, restaurants, tour services, and airports. These jobs are essential in areas
with few other industries. For instance, many coastal towns depend on tourism to provide work
for residents. In addition, governments often build better roads and airports to attract tourists,
which also benefits local people.
In conclusion, tourism plays an important role in economic success by bringing income,
creating jobs, and improving infrastructure. Therefore, I strongly agree that tourism is a key
factor in the success of many economies around the world.
=>Totally agree
Tourism has long been considered a cornerstone of economic development in
numerous countries worldwide. While it undeniably contributes to job creation and revenue
generation, it is also associated with various adverse effects on local residents and the
environment. For this reason, I partially agree with the statement, as the impact of tourism is a
double-edged phenomenon that requires balanced
On the one hand, tourism contributes significantly to many economies. It creates
jobs in sectors such as hospitality, transportation, and retail, helping to reduce unemployment.
In addition, it generates income for local businesses and increases government revenue through
taxes. For example, in countries like Vietnam, popular destinations such as Ha Long Bay attract
millions of visitors each year, boosting the local economy and improving infrastructure.
On the other hand, tourism can have negative impacts. Large numbers of tourists
may lead to environmental degradation, including pollution, waste, and damage to natural
landscapes. Moreover, local people sometimes face rising living costs and overcrowding, which
can reduce their quality of life. In some cases, traditional cultures may also be affected as
communities adapt to meet tourists’ expectations.
In conclusion, although tourism plays a vital role in economic development, its
negative effects cannot be ignored. Therefore, governments and individuals should promote
sustainable tourism to balance economic benefits with environmental protection and social
well-being.

[Link], the use of smartphones and other electronic devices among teenagers is
becoming more and more popular. Many people think that teenagers should spend more
time taking part in sports and outdoor activities instead of using such devices. To what
extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? You should write about 200 words.
Bài tham khảo
In today’s digital age, smartphones and other electronic devices have become an
inseparable part of teenagers’ daily lives. While these technologies offer certain benefits, I
totally agree that teenagers should spend more time engaging in sports and outdoor activities
instead of overusing such devices.
Firstly, excessive use of smartphones can harm teenagers’ physical health.
Spending hours on screens may cause eye strain, poor posture, and a lack of exercise. For
example, many teenagers nowadays prefer playing games or scrolling through social media
instead of going outside, which can lead to obesity and other health issues. In contrast, playing
sports such as football or badminton helps them stay active and physically fit.
Secondly, outdoor activities are essential for developing social skills. When
teenagers participate in team sports, they learn how to cooperate and communicate effectively.
For instance, students who join school football teams often build strong friendships and
improve their teamwork skills, which cannot be achieved through online interactions alone.
Finally, physical activities also improve mental health. Regular exercise helps
reduce stress and anxiety. For example, after a long day of studying, playing sports can help
teenagers relax and feel more refreshed.
In conclusion, although electronic devices are useful, teenagers should prioritize
outdoor activities for better physical, social, and mental development.

5. Write an essay about 150 – 200 words on the following topic in the Answer Sheets. (2.0 pts)
Many people believe that it is better to learn something in a group rather than individually. Do
you agree or disagree?
Learning is often seen as a personal journey, but many people argue that studying in a
group is more effective than learning alone. I totally agree with this opinion because group
learning offers several important advantages.
Firstly, studying in a group allows students to share knowledge and ideas. Each person
may understand a topic differently, so discussing it together can help clarify difficult concepts.
For example, in a study group, one student may be good at explaining grammar while another
may excel at vocabulary, which helps everyone improve more quickly.
Secondly, group learning increases motivation and discipline. When students study
together, they are less likely to feel bored or distracted. For instance, preparing for exams with
friends often encourages individuals to stay focused and complete their tasks on time.
Finally, working in groups helps develop essential social skills such as
communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. These skills are not only useful in school but
also important for future careers.
In conclusion, although individual learning has its benefits, studying in a group is
more effective because it enhances understanding, motivation, and social development.

6. Online shopping is now replacing shopping in the store. Do you think it is a positive or
negative development? In about 250 words, write an essay to express your opinion on the
issue. Use reasons and examples to support your position.
Bài tham khảo
The rapid growth of technology has changed the way people shop, with online
shopping becoming increasingly popular. While some believe it is completely replacing
traditional in-store shopping, I partly agree that this is a positive development, as it brings both
benefits and drawbacks.
On the one hand, online shopping offers great convenience. People can purchase
products anytime and anywhere without the need to travel. This is especially helpful for busy
individuals or those living far from shopping centers. For example, a student can easily buy
books or clothes online with just a few clicks, saving both time and effort. In addition, online
platforms often provide a wider variety of products and competitive prices, allowing customers
to compare options more easily.
On the other hand, e-commerce also has several disadvantages. One major
drawback is that customers cannot physically examine products before purchasing, which may
lead to disappointment when the items received do not match expectations. For instance,
clothes bought online may not fit properly or look different from the pictures. Another issue is
the risk of scams or poor-quality goods, especially when buying from unreliable sellers.
Despite these drawbacks, traditional shopping still remains important because it allows direct
interaction with products and provides a more enjoyable social experience.
In conclusion, although online shopping is convenient and efficient, it cannot
completely replace traditional shopping. Both forms have their own advantages and
disadvantages, so a balance between them is the most reasonable approach.
Mẫu 2:
In some countries, people love buying stuffs online rather than going to markets
because it saves time. However, I believe it is a negative development because more people are
getting scammed frequently, and also it creates a problem for local shops.
The main reason for citizens to shop online is because it is very efficient and can be
done within a second. Unlike physical shopping, a person do not need to go to every store to
find an item they want to purchase. It just needs a mobile and the internet where they can
search for the stuffs and order it. Since, it will take one or two days to deliver the ordered item,
it is more convenient and time saving. For example, in my country, women tend to buy
cosmetic items online because it is impossible to search them in physical [Link], they prefer
searching it online rather than wasting time in physical stores.
However, there are some of the negative development going on in society and
citizens due to increase of online shopping. There are many victims increasing because of the
online store scammers. For example, the fraud people make a fake profile of a store in social
media and advertise the item that doesn’t exist. People believe those advertisements and pay for
the items online and never get them in real. This makes their life more miserable as they lost
their money and didn’t get the item at the same time. Similarly, the business of local shops will
go down due to online shopping and wont be able to afford a basic needs of life which create a
bigger problem for local peoples.
In conclusion, I agree that online shopping has made a life easier by saving time.
However, it has made negative impact in society by taking upon on their businesses and in
individuals by making them pay for the product that doesn’t exist.
