PART 1: OVERVIEW
Throughout the last three years, from first to third year of university (2022 -
2024) in Marketing Management major, although all the members have been in the
same class, team only started collaborating together in the second semester of the
second year. There are seven people and at this point of time, the first semester of the
third year, team has worked together on 7 courses, including 2 general courses and 5
major-specific courses.
We are Team 7, composed of seven members: Quynh Mai, who leads our team,
along with Mai Linh, Hong Anh, Lan Chi, Hanh Vy, Huong Giang and Thuy Linh.
Our team came together to fulfill the requirements of our Organizational Behavior
(course's assignment, where teamwork and group analysis are critical components. We
formed this group to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations, exploring how
our diverse personalities, roles, and individual strengths contribute to achieving shared
goals.
Our team, Team 7, operates as a true work team rather than a workgroup. We
are united by shared objectives, and each member plays a distinct role within the team,
contributing specialized skills and perspectives. Our interdependence is essential, as
each person’s responsibilities align with and support the overall goals of our
assignment. This structure fosters a collaborative environment in which we depend on
one another to bring our unique strengths to the table, ultimately aiming to achieve
more collectively than we could individually.

PART 3: REFLECTION
3.1. Strengths and Limitations of the team
Overall, after working together on several tasks, the group has achieved certain
accomplishments that met the expectations and desires of each member. Through this
collaboration, the group has also identified its strengths and areas for improvement.
In terms of strengths, the group values attention to detail, carefulness, and
thoroughness in all assignments, resulting in well-prepared and complete work that
meets course requirements. Additionally, the group is ambitious, open-minded, and
regularly interacts and exchanges ideas, allowing members to learn new things and
gain knowledge from each other.
Regarding weaknesses, some members have strong individual personalities,
which at times makes it difficult to reach a consensus or can delay decision-making.
Moreover, due to the group's emphasis on precision and refinement, the work
sometimes becomes overly detailed or contains excess information. Another area for
improvement is that most team members are working part-time, making them busier
than in previous semesters. As a result, everyone has less available time, leading to
delays in submitting tasks. This has required the team leader to frequently remind and
push members to complete their work on time.
3.2. Learned Lesson
After working together in group projects, exchanging ideas, communicating,
and listening to team members, I have learned many valuable lessons that will help me
improve my abilities and skills, allowing me to become better and more refined. Some
important lessons include:
Attention to detail and thoroughness: Although I have always been
meticulous in my work, I realized after collaborating with my teammates that they are
even more careful and precise. This is a quality I should adopt, as it reflects
professionalism in one’s work and helps improve the overall quality of the final
outcome.
Balancing personal opinions with the group’s consensus: Even though I have
a strong personal working style, it’s important not to be too stubborn and hold onto my
own ideas. Instead, I should be flexible and adapt, harmonizing my views with those
of others in order to find the quickest and most efficient solutions.
"If you're going to do something, you must see it through to the end;
there's no doing things halfway." The team members have set a strong example for
me with this shared approach: when taking on a task, they commit fully and handle it
with great care. They don’t let difficulty or unfamiliarity lead to careless work.
Instead, they explore, reason, and seek out the best possible approach within their
abilities, making sure their work reflects the effort they've invested.
6
In discussions, opinions should be expressed positively: to create the best and
most polished work possible, the team makes every effort to meet in person as much as
possible. Naturally, differing opinions and moments of tension are inevitable. To avoid
misunderstandings and potential conflicts, it’s essential to clearly express ideas and
intentions so that the group can consider, discuss, and organize them in a way that
allows everyone to reach a reasonable level of satisfaction with the final outcome.
Allocated roles: In our seven-member team, each person is assigned a role that
leverages their strengths, fostering a well-organized and efficient workflow. Mai, as
the team leader, manages the project, delegates tasks, and keeps everyone aligned with
the timeline. Every member contributes to research, data collection, and content
development, forming the core of our project. Two members with strong design and
visual abilities are responsible for creating the presentation slides, while another
member, known for their attention to detail, reviews and refines the final report. For
the presentation, four members who are confident speakers handle the delivery. This
thoughtful distribution of tasks makes the most of each person’s skills, creating a
supportive and productive team environment. As a result, this structured and logical
role assignment boosts our team’s efficiency and ensures high-quality work across all
tasks.
PART 4: CONCLUSION
4.1. The impacts i had made on my team
In conclusion, I have had a certain level of influence on the group as a whole
and on individual members. As a Completer Finisher in the team, I always ensure that
tasks are completed to a high standard and on time. I am responsible for paying
attention to detail, identifying errors or omissions, and making sure the final output is
polished and of high quality. Through this, it is clear that I have motivated the team
and its members to comple the task with the highest quality. My attention to detail and
adherence to principles have had a positive impact on the team in many aspects.
However, my strong stubbornness and individualistic tendencies have had a certain
negative impact on the group, causing us to sometimes waste time without achieving
high efficiency.
4.2. Some anticipated changes in the future
In the future, I aspire to keep building on my strengths, particularly my
attention to detail and commitment to principles, to support the team’s motivation and
drive toward excellence. By focusing on these qualities, I hope to help create a
productive atmosphere where each member feels encouraged to deliver their best
work. Alongside this, I recognize there are areas where I can improve, and I’m
committed to ongoing learning and growth. I plan to actively seek feedback from my
teammates, welcoming their insights to refine my approach. This will help me strike a
balance between my own preferences and the group’s collective goals, making me
more adaptable and attuned to the team’s needs. Additionally, by being open to
7
constructive criticism and remaining flexible, I hope to strengthen my contributions
and help foster a collaborative environment where the whole team can thrive. In doing
so, I aim to not only support the group’s objectives but also develop a harmonious
dynamic that benefits everyone involved.
