Example: Finding average marks of students.

Q2. Define Variable.

A variable is a quantity that changes from person to person or object to object.
Example: Age, height, salary.

Q3. What is Quantitative Variable?

Example: Weight = 60kg

Q4. What is Qualitative Variable?

A variable that describes quality or category is called qualitative variable.
Example: Gender, color.

Q5. What is Histogram?

A histogram is a graph used to represent frequency distribution with rectangles.

Q6. Difference between Histogram and Bar Graph?

CHAPTER 3 — NUMERICAL

Q1. Define Mean.

Mean is the average of observations.
Formula: Mean = Σx / n
Example: 2, 4, 6 → Mean = 4

Q2. Define Median.

Median is the middle value of arranged data.
Example: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 → Median = 5

Q3. Define Mode.

Mode is the most repeated value.
Example: 2, 2, 3, 5 → Mode = 2
Q4. Find Mean of 2,4,6,8,10
Solution:
Mean = (2+4+6+8+10)/5 = 30/5 = 6

Q5. Find Median of 3,5,7,9,11

Solution:
Median Position = (n+1)/2 = (5+1)/2 = 3
Median = 7

CHAPTER 4 — DISPERSION

Q1. What is Variance?

Variance measures spread of data from mean.

Q2. What is Standard Deviation?

Standard deviation is square root of variance.

Q3. What is Skewness?

Skewness shows symmetry of data.

Q4. Find Variance and Standard Deviation of 2,4,6

Mean = 4
Variance = 2.67
Standard Deviation = 1.63
