1. nag (v): mắng mỏ


grumble (v) = complain in a low voice & bad-tempered way
waffle (v) = talk a lot w/o saying ath clear/important

3. downright = (of sth bad) extremely or greatly
outright = completely or immediately
upright (miêu tả pose) = vertical and as straight as possible
4. crack sb up (phs v) = suddenly laugh a lot/make sb laugh a lot

6. A listener can:
follow sb’s train of thought
wonder/ask what sb is driving at/getting at
7. make cutbacks = reduce in sth to save money
8. indiscreet (adj) = to say/do sth that should be kept secret
