Reflection

This assignment helped me to understand how group work works in professional


environment. At the beginning the group was facing some miscommunication, which
made it difficult to come to a solution. In memo writing process not, everyone was not co
operating, which eventually made the work distribution difficult.

However, the team started to communicate better and everyone contributed with their
ideas at the end. Eventually we agreed on three main problems and proposed a mobile
application. As time passed, our collaboration improved and we were able to complete the memo
successfully.

Group work becomes easier when all members are open to listen each other’s opinions rather
than being arrogant, as ignoring others defeats the purpose of teamwork. It’s also important to
follow given instructions instead of personal assumptions as it saves time and effort.

Proper workload distribution was a problem in this project, although this could be avoided if
everyone’s opinion was valued during group discussions as this issue was raised by some
members. Since group members may have different schedules or face unexpected situations,
flexibility and patience are necessary. Also in any mean, team member should refrain themselves
from being offensive and impulsive with their words, as it may break the unity among the team
members.

Overall, from this experience I learned teamwork requires respect, responsibility, good
communication, and the willingness to admit mistakes and learn from them.
