SIMPLE PRESENT

What is the Simple Present?

The Simple Present is used to talk about:

 Daily routines.
 Habits.
 General facts.

Example:

 I go to school every day.


 She reads books.

Structure

Affirmative (+)

Subject + Verb + Complement

Examples:

 I play soccer.
 You study English.
 He plays soccer.
 She sings well.
 They read books.

Rule:
With He, She, It, add -s or -es to the verb.

Examples:

 play → plays
 watch → watches
 go → goes
 study → studies

Negative (-)

Subject + don't / doesn't + Verb

Examples:

 I don't like milk.
