Introduction
Reproductive health refers to the physical, mental, and social well-being related to the
reproductive system. It ensures safe reproduction, awareness about reproductive
processes, prevention of diseases, and healthy family life.

Reproductive Health
The main objectives of reproductive health are population control, awareness about
reproduction, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, and proper maternal and child
healthcare.

Sex Education
Sex education provides correct knowledge about puberty, hygiene, reproduction, and
diseases. It removes myths and encourages responsible behavior among young people.

Birth Control Methods


Birth control methods help prevent unwanted pregnancies. These include natural methods,
barrier methods such as condoms, intrauterine devices like Copper-T, oral contraceptive
pills, and surgical methods like vasectomy and tubectomy.

Medical Termination of Pregnancy


Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) refers to the intentional termination of pregnancy
under medical supervision to protect the health of the mother and prevent unsafe
pregnancies.

Sexually Transmitted Diseases


Sexually transmitted diseases include AIDS, gonorrhea, and syphilis. These diseases can be
prevented by maintaining hygiene, regular medical checkups, and awareness.

Infertility
Infertility is the inability to produce children despite regular attempts. Causes may include
hormonal imbalance, reproductive disorders, or low sperm count.
Assisted Reproductive Technologies
Assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF and artificial insemination help infertile
couples have children using modern medical techniques.

Importance of Reproductive Health


Reproductive health helps create a healthy society by preventing diseases, controlling
population growth, and ensuring healthy family life.

Reproductive health is essential for physical, mental, and social well-being. Proper
