Don’t worry about their presence because they are here to observe or oversee the
conduct of competency assessment if it is in the accordance of prescribed
competency assessment methodologies and procedures, they will not assess you.

office. Up to this moment they see and can hear us already. You will be required to

in the cctv which is I don’t have any problem on my part because the only purpose of
the cctv is to protect the integrity of the assessment proceedings.

Context and purpose of assessment
The purpose of our assessment in Computer Systems Servicing is to evaluate your
level of competency in the required skills and knowledge, support your employment
opportunities by ensuring your abilities meet industry standards, and promote your
personal and professional development for continuous growth in the field

Today, I am going to administer competency assessment in Computer Systems
Servicing NC II this qualification which composed of Basic, Common and with Core
Competencies, but during assessment we will focus only in the CORE COMPETENCIES
which are:

3 Setup Computer Servers
4 Maintain and Repair Computer Systems and Networks

Assessment procedure to be undertaken
To determine your knowledge and skills, the assessment method we will use
written test, demonstration and oral questioning. These assessment methods can help
to measure your underpinning skills and knowledge. For the Written Test, it is a 30-
item test you will only answer For 20 minutes, perform Demonstration for 6 hours and
last is the oral questioning for 30 minutes with the total of 6 hours and 50 minutes.
Allowable Adjustment, When Applicable
For your personal needs, the lavatory and comfort rooms are located at this Side
of assessment room. And you can also take your meal/snacks at the canteen which is
located at this side of assessment room. However, during the assessment, you are not
allowed to leave the premises of the assessment center.
If you have difficulty in understanding the given instructions, please do not
hesitate to inform me because I am willing to translate it for you.
DOs and DONTs During the Assessment
During assessment, you are not allowed to use cellphone to take pictures, record
Footage/s, Bring out notes, Talk with your seatmates, browse the internet and disclose
to the public what happened during the assessment.
If you have concerns, questions or any clarification with regards to the
assessment, you may raise your hand, because I am more than willing to assist you.
But when the assessment has already started, please refrain from asking questions
because it is no longer allowed.
If you have physical or any form of difficulties, do not hesitate to call my
attention so we can address it immediately.
Two results of Assessment
So, in this Assessment we have only two assessment results, Competent and
Not yet Competent, competent means that you’ve Successfully perform all of the
units of competency needed in this qualification while not yet competent means
that you did not completely perform the competencies of this qualification.

Issuance of National Certificate
For the issuance of National Certificate, Once Competent ,you will receive your
E-Certificate at your Email Account in 3 to 5 working days after the assessment.
The Validity of National certificate is valid for 5 Years and you can renew it by
presenting a COE which is related to your NC at the Provincial Office. However Once
CSS NC II migrated again, you are required to undergo Reassessment and re-training if
needed.

Re-Assessment Policies and Procedures
After the assessment and you found that you are not yet competent don’t worry
because you can be reassess anytime at your own convenience.
In case the reassessment is full qualification, you have to undergo the whole
assessment process. If you are found to be competent in some unit of competencies,
the reassessment will focus on the unit of competencies that you are not yet
competent.
Also, if you did not pass two consecutive assessment you will be advise to
undergo a refresher/retraining course before applying for reassessment.
Right and Appeal System
In case you have any question about the assessment result, you have the right
to appeal. You can send your right of appeal to TESDA PROVINCIAL DIRECTOR ALVIN
YTURRALDE Right After this Assessment.

Occupational Safety and Health Requirements
For the Occupational Health and Safety During the actual assessment, please
observe safety as you perform the different tasks. Wear Applicable Personal Protective
Equipment. Use the Hand tools and equipment properly in accordance to
manufacturers manual to avoid any untoward incident. In case of accident, please call
my attention immediately, so we can provide you with first aid, and the medicine
cabinet are located in that side of assessment room.

Confidentiality of Assessment Outcomes
With regards to the result of your assessment, we observe strict confidentiality.
This is to ensure integrity. The result will only be available for authorized personnel
and to the institution where you had your actual training.

I have here Questionnaire and Answer Sheet. In this answer sheet you are going to
write your NAME, Assessment Center, Date of Assessment, and the SET in the upper
right portion of your answer sheet, and you are going to write the letter of your
choice. If you have corrections in your first answer you can change your answer by
putting x in your first answer and write your desired answer.
You are only given 20 minutes to finish this written test. If there is no question you
may start now. Okay times up. Submit the answer sheet and the questionnaire.

Mr.________, Base on your written test, you got a fair score, on your performance
demonstration you are having a difficult time progressing on the task installing
network cables(please be flexible in feedbacking,magimbento po kayo base sa
kurso ninyo) while on the oral questioning, you did answer few of my questions. I am
so sorry but you are not able to perform within the standard requirements of the
Qualification. You have to review and practice the tasks related to the competency
requirements of the Qualification in order to have mastery.
But don’t worry you can comeback after a month for reassessment or
when you feel confident enough to be reassessed.
If you have doubts of the result of your assessment you may write a Right to
Appeal to the TESDA Provincial Office.
