Scene 1: The Golden Age of Ayodhya

Narrator: High walls. Ancient gates. This is Ayodhya, ruled by the wise King
Dasharatha. He has four sons, but the eldest, Rama, is the pride of the kingdom—
the rightful heir to the throne.

Dasharatha: My time as King is drawing to a close. Tomorrow, Rama, I shall anoint

you as my successor.

Rama: I am honored, Father. I will serve our people with all my heart.

Scene 2: The Shadow of a Wish

Narrator: But in the shadows, plans are changing. Queen Rama’s stepmother—is
listening to her maid’s poisonous whispers.

Maid (Manthara): Why settle for Rama? Your own son, Bharata, should be King!
Remember the two favors the King owes you? Use them. Now.

Narrator: Rama’s step mother confronts the King. The celebration is cut short.

Kaikeyi: Dasharatha, you gave me your word! My first wish: Banish Rama to the
forest for fourteen years. My second: My son Bharata takes the throne!

Dasharatha (Distraught): Kaikeyi, no! You cannot ask this of me!

Scene 3: The Departure

Narrator: The news hits the palace like a lightning strike. Rama, the man of honor,
makes a choice that shocks the city.

Rama: Father, a king’s word is his bond. I will not let you break your promise. I will
leave for the forest tonight.

Sita: If you go, I go. My place is by your side, Rama.

Lakshmana: And I will not let you face the wild alone. I am coming with you.

Narrator: No crown. No palace. Just a path into the deep unknown. The journey of
the Ramayana has officially begun.

Performance Tips:

 Narrator: Speak with high energy and urgency to keep the "Fast" pace.
 Kaikeyi: Make her sound demanding and sharp.

 Rama: Keep his voice calm and steady to show his strength of character.

Scene 4: The Palace in Mourning

Narrator: Back in Ayodhya, the city is weeping. The king is gone.

Narrator: King Dasharatha, his heart shattered by the exile of his favorite son, dies
of grief. The throne sits empty, a kingdom in shadow.

Scene 5: The Demon Sister's Fury

Narrator: Deep in the forest of Panchavati, the trio thinks they are alone. They are
wrong. Shurpanakha, sister of the demon-king Ravana, is watching.

Shurpanakha: (To herself) Such a handsome prince! I must have him. (To Rama) You!
Marry me! I am a princess of the demons, and you are far too grand for these
woods.

Rama: (Calmly) I am honored, but I have already made my vows. This is Sita, my
wife. I will marry no other.

Shurpanakha: (Hissing) This puny human woman? If she is the reason you refuse
me, I will get rid of her!

Narrator: She lunges for Sita! But Lakshmana is faster. His blade flashes in the
sunlight.

Lakshmana: Not on my watch!

Narrator: SLICE! Lakshmana cuts off Shurpanakha’s nose. Screaming in agony and
humiliation, she flees to her brother, the ten-headed King of Lanka.

Scene 6: The Kidnapping

Narrator: Revenge is a dish best served with a trap. While Rama and Lakshmana are
lured away, Sita is left alone.

Narrator: Enter Ravana. The earth trembles as he reveals his true, terrifying form.

Sita: (Terrified) Who are you? Stay back!

Ravana: Your husband’s brother insulted my blood! Now, you shall be my prize.
Ayodhya will never see you again!

Narrator: Ravana seizes Sita and vanishes into the sky.

Scene 7: Desperate Alliances

Narrator: Rama and Lakshmana return to a ruined home. The silence is deafening.

Rama: (Shouting) Sita! SITA!

Lakshmana: The tracks... they are not human. We have to find her, Brother.

Narrator: Their search leads them to the Monkey Kingdom. They are met by the
powerful Sugriva and his legendary lieutenant, Hanuman.

Sugriva: We have seen your wife being carried south. We will help you, Prince Rama.
Our army is yours to command.

Hanuman: Whatever it takes, my Lord. We will cross the oceans to bring her back.

Narrator: The lines are drawn. The forest is quiet no longer. War is coming to Lanka!

Performance Tips:

 Shurpanakha: Start sweet and charming, then switch to a raspy, angry snarl
for the attack.

 Ravana: Deep, booming, and arrogant voice.

 Rama: In the final scene, his voice should show deep pain but also fierce
determination.

Scene 8: The Great Leap

Narrator: One leap. Across the roaring ocean. Hanuman, the son of the wind, flies
toward the island of Lanka. He finds Sita held captive in a garden of sorrows.

Hanuman: (Whispering) Mother Sita, do not fear. I am Rama’s messenger.

Sita: (Hopeful) Hanuman? Is he coming for me?

Hanuman: He is already on his way. An army of millions follows him. Hold on just a
little longer.

Scene 9: The War of the Worlds

Narrator: The sea is bridged! The army storms the gates of Lanka! Stone against
steel. Magic against might.

Narrator: Rama stands at the front, his bow drawn, facing the ten-headed demon
king.

Ravana: (Laughing) You are just a man, Rama! You cannot kill what cannot die!
Rama: Your pride is your downfall, Ravana. For every head you have, I have an
arrow of justice!

Narrator: WHOOSH! A divine arrow pierces the air, glowing with celestial fire.

Narrator: BOOM! The demon king falls. The darkness over Lanka is lifted.

Scene 10: The Return of the King

Narrator: The fourteen years of exile are over. The dust of battle settles, and the
long journey home begins.

Rama: Sita, the path was long, but my heart never left your side.

Sita: I never doubted you, Rama.

Narrator: They return to Ayodhya, not as exiles, but as legends. The city is ablaze
with oil lamps to light their way.

Narrator: Rama and Sita take their place on the throne. Order is restored. Peace
returns. The story of the Ramayana lives on forever!

Performance Tips:

 Hanuman: Give him a voice full of awe and respect when talking to Sita, but
keep it hushed.

 Rama: During the battle, his voice should be powerful and commanding.

 Narrator: Speed up the delivery during the battle description in Scene 9 to

build maximum excitement!
