“Hello sir, I’m Amit Bodla, I worked with EY for 32 months, Being a proactive professional I’ve high-
impact results in client-facing projects and drove process improvements using Agile practices.
At EY’s Global Delivery Services, I enhanced my cross-functional collaboration, gained a global
business perspective by working with clients across regions, and built strong stakeholder
management skills by interacting with senior international stakeholders. Networking across teams
also helped me stay connected and build professional maturity early in my career.
Currently, I am pursuing my PGPM at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, where I have
strengthened my business acumen and consulting mindset. The foundations introduced during my
work experience have been further developed through academic projects, such as Operations and
Warehouse Management for PepsiCo and a Live Brand Analysis of Indian brands, and improved them
by pursing more certifications of Six Sigma and Agile methodologies, Power Bi.
What sets me apart is my people-centric approach because I feel Managing people is less about
control and more about enabling them to perform at their best, which can only be achieved when
you understand your team or employees — I naturally understand perspectives, respect opinions,
and create open environments where collaboration thrives. I have leveraged these qualities in
leadership roles, such as being part of the Cultural Committee, Group Projects, and Dance Teams.
Here Comes my Extracurricular skills beyond academics, I am also a dancer and choreographer,
which has sharpened my creativity, management skills, and ability to guide large groups while
inspiring people to perform at their best.
Together, these experiences have shaped me into a professional who blends analytical problem-
solving with creativity and people leadership, enabling me to deliver impactful outcomes for both
clients and teams.
Short Term Goal:
Was an Individual contributor all these days, now would like to use the skills which I have picked up
in PGPM Course and my work experience strengthen those skilla by applying in real life scenarios and
contribute myself to the become an exemplar in my domain and move towards People management
and a _____ Professional.
Long Term Goal:
My long-term goal is to keep growing as a professional who can bridge business and technology to
solve real-world problems. Over time, I see myself adding value by mentoring others, sharing
knowledge, and being part of initiatives that create sustainable business impact.
Strengths
1. Learning Agility – Ability to quickly pick up new concepts, adapt to changing environments,
and apply knowledge effectively in live projects (e.g., completing advanced platform trainings
while handling client work).
2. Collaboration & Client Orientation – Skilled at working with cross-functional teams and
communicating clearly with stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and
customer experience.
Weaknesses
1. Over-involvement in Details – At times, I tend to dive too deep into problem areas, which
can slow me down, but I’m learning to balance detail-orientation with big-picture thinking.
2. Limited Exposure to Financial/Strategic Areas – My past roles focused more on process and
operations, so I’m actively strengthening my business knowledge through my MBA to
complement my execution strengths.
1) Describe a time when you demonstrated problem-solving skills to address a client’s business
challenge.
2) Tell me about an instance when you had to adapt quickly to new technology or a new process.
Ans:
Situation: In the later stage of my tenure at EY, I was recruited into a new role based on my past
performance. This project involved a completely new client, a different set of teams, and
technologies I had never worked on before.
Task: My responsibility was to quickly get up to speed on these new tools and processes, while
simultaneously managing project deliverables and maintaining the client’s trust in our team’s
delivery capability.
Action: I proactively enrolled in trainings to build the required technical skills and adapted my
schedule to balance both learning and delivery. At the same time, I coordinated closely with my
colleagues from Poland and my manager in the US, often extending my working hours to ensure
seamless collaboration across time zones. I also broke down complex requirements into manageable
tasks, which helped me apply my learning quickly to real project scenarios.
Result: Within a short span, I not only completed my training but also delivered a higher number of
user stories than initially assigned. This showcased my ability to adapt quickly, manage competing
priorities, and contribute effectively to the client engagement despite the steep learning curve.
3) Give an example of when you worked under tight deadlines—how did you prioritize tasks?
Answer (STAR):
Situation: In one of my projects at EY, I had just been moved into a new role where I was expected to
complete three weeks of technical trainings while also starting beginner-level tasks. However, the
actual project deliverables and deployment were scheduled to start within a week, which created a
very tight timeline.
Task: My challenge was to balance learning the new technology with meeting immediate client
deliverables, ensuring that I did not compromise either my upskilling or the project’s progress.
Action: I prioritized by first completing the foundational concepts that were critical for the upcoming
tasks, rather than trying to finish the entire training at once. For tasks assigned during this period,
even if I wasn’t fully confident in all the concepts, I proactively sought guidance from my colleagues,
broke tasks into smaller steps, and focused on completing the highest-priority deliverables first. This
helped me contribute meaningfully while still building my skills.
Result: As a result, I was able to complete the essential trainings on time, successfully deliver the
assigned priority tasks within deadlines, and gradually ramp up to take on more complex work. This
approach allowed me to balance learning with delivery, maintain client confidence, and build a
strong foundation for the rest of the project.
How does Deloitte support employees in continuously adapting to new technologies like GenAI
and automation, as mentioned in the JD
Can give you an example, we used to have daily connected with the team and leadership though I
was a technical person, I was very much confident in client interaction sessions rather than Scrum
meetings. And I am a people centric person who understands their intentions, perspective and
respect their opinions. To sharpen my management skills and get familiar with Business domain
and fundamentals is the reason why I have chosen MBA.
