Topics: Ampere’s Law
Problem #1
If 𝑖1 = 5𝐴 and 𝑖2 = 3𝐴, what is the circulation for path 1
and path 2 in the diagram?
Topics: Induction
Problem #1
A uniform magnetic field makes an angle of 30° with the axis of a circular coil that has 300 turns
and a radius equal to 4 𝑐𝑚. The magnitude of the magnetic field increases at a rate of 85 𝑇/𝑠 while
its direction remains fixed.
Find the magnitude of the induced emf in the coil.
Problem #2
A certain region of space has a uniform magnetic field of 0.02 𝑇 and a uniform electric field of
2.5 × 106 𝑁/𝐶.
Find the electromagnetic energy in a cubical box of edge length 𝑙 = 12 𝑐𝑚.
