Sample Size Calculation

The document outlines the calculation of sample size using the formula n = (Z² × p × q) / d². With a 95% confidence level (Z = 1.96), p = 0.5, and d = 0.18, the required sample size was calculated to be approximately 30. The final result was rounded from 29.63 to 30.

Sample Size Calculation

The sample size was calculated using the following formula:

n = (Z² × p × q) / d²

Where:
n = Required sample size
Z = 1.96 (95% confidence level)
p = 0.5
q = 1 − p = 0.5
d = 0.18

Calculation
n = ((1.96)² × 0.5 × 0.5) / (0.18)²

= (3.84 × 0.25) / 0.0324

= 0.96 / 0.0324

= 29.63

n ≈ 30

Therefore, the calculated sample size was 29.63, which was rounded off to 30.
