generation the definition of Computer has changed, the use of computer is not limited in
calculating numbers, now it used in very wide, like music, graphics, internet and Games etc.
is happening in many Computer users. Therefore, Computer is an Electronic Device or
Machine that accepts raw data as input, processes it using a set of software or instruction at
high speed, stores it, and produces it as output results. The Computer accepts and manipulate
data according to our need.
1.2. Types of Computer
There are many types of Computer which has been used in different place according
to the need. The types of Computer are following below:-
i. Analog Computer
Analog Computer is mostly used in medical Sciences. This kind of computer is useful
for analyzing on continuous data values calculation. Example, for checking pressure and any
similar values etc. these computers are well suited to simulating systems. A Simulators helps
to conduct experiments repeatedly in real time environment. E.g., Aircraft simulation, nuclear
power plants, hydraulic and Electronic networks.
ii. Digital Computer
Digital Computer is the mostly used computer on a digital technique which is widely
used and preferred now a day. This kind of Computer used microprocessor technology which
is quite digital and able to calculate and execute millions of instruction within a second.
There are some types of Digital computer we can find today in our hand.
a) Micro Computer: The processor of Micro Computer is very small, therefore the
microprocessor and device is called Micro Computer and the Micro Computer is
single user device, e.g. Desktop, Laptop, Notebook, MacBook, Palmtop and PDA
etc.
