REVERSE ENGINEERING

Refined Project Description

 Conduct reverse engineering of an existing product
 Sketch and prototype alternative design concepts
 Participate in group brainstorming and ideation sessions
 Manufacture prototype components using 3D printing and/or workshop tools
 Assemble and evaluate the final prototype product

As a Step-by-Step Process
1. Reverse engineer the existing product to understand its components and functionality
2. Generate alternative design concepts through sketching and group brainstorming
3. Develop prototypes of selected designs
4. Manufacture prototype parts using 3D printing and workshop machinery
5. Assemble the prototype and assess its performance

As Learning Outcomes

 Apply reverse engineering techniques to analyze existing products

 Develop alternative design solutions through sketching and collaborative
brainstorming
 Gain hands-on experience with prototyping and manufacturing methods
 Assemble and test a functional prototype product
