On behalf of the Department of Information Technology,SIESGST I extend my heartfelt
welcome to today's Faculty Development Programme on the topic,
"Why Cybersecurity in the Age of AI."
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way we live and work. While AI offers tremendous
opportunities, it also brings new cybersecurity challenges that require innovative approaches
to risk management and digital resilience. Today's session is therefore both timely and highly
relevant for all of us.
We are truly privileged to have with us an eminent industry expert who brings decades of
experience in Information Security, Technology Risk Management, and Cybersecurity.
It is now, my pleasure to introduce our esteemed speaker for today's session,
Mr. Dharmendra Kumar Jha, who is currently serving as the General Manager – IT Risk
Management at State Bank of India.
Mr. Jha has an illustrious professional career spanning more than 30 years, with over two
decades of expertise in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity, Information
Security and Technology Risk Management.
Throughout his remarkable career, he has held several prestigious leadership positions,
including:
General Manager – Technology Risk Management, SBI
Deputy General Manager – Resilience Operation Centre, SBI
Director (Technology), UIDAI
Deputy General Manager – Information Security, SBI
Senior Vice President & Head of Technology at SBI Singapore.
He has successfully led enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives, Information Security
Operations, Technology Risk Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Resilience,
Vendor Risk Management, and Board-level Risk Reporting for one of the world's largest
banking institutions.
Academically, Mr. Jha holds an [Link] in Cyber Security, an MCA, an [Link]., and has
earned prestigious global certifications including CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCISO,
CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, along with a Harvard certification in Managing Risk in
the Information Age.
His outstanding contributions have also been recognized through several prestigious awards,
including recognition for Best IT Risk Management, implementation of Enterprise GRC
Frameworks, and DSCI Awards for Best Security Practices and Security Awareness.
