ROOM SERVICE SCRIPT
(Note: FA = Food Attendant; G = Guest)
Taking the Order
FA: "Good morning, room service! (Name) speaking. How may I assist you today, Ma'am/Sir?"
G: "Good morning! I would like to have my breakfast delivered to my room, please."
FA: "Certainly, Ma'am. May I know your room number and name?"
G: "This is (name) of room 0123."
FA: "Thank you, Ma'am. What would you like for breakfast today? We offer Continental,
American, and Filipino breakfast. Also, may I know if this order is for how many persons and
whether there are any food allergies or restrictions?"
G: "It’s for one person, and no food allergies or restrictions."
FA: "Thank you, Ma'am. Let me explain the options:
- Continental Breakfast includes toast, juices, and hot beverages, along with jams and spreads.
- American Breakfast consists of toast or pancakes, eggs, sides, juices, and hot beverages, with
jams and spreads.
- Filipino Breakfast comes with toast, silog dishes, juices, hot beverages, butter, and jams."
G: "I’ll have the Continental Breakfast."
FA: "Noted, Ma'am. You’ve selected the Continental Breakfast. May I confirm your preferences
for the following?"
- Would you prefer white bread, pandesal, or coco bread for your toast?"
G: "White bread, please."
FA: "And would you like it plain or toasted?"
G: "Plain."
FA: "For your fruit preserve, would you prefer jam or butter?"
G: "Jam."
FA: "Noted, Ma'am. Would you like a juice to go with that? We have pineapple, grapefruit, and
orange."
G: "Grapefruit juice, please."
FA: "And for your hot beverage, would you like coffee, tea, or milk?"
G: "Brewed coffee, please."
FA: "Lastly, would you like to add any fresh fruits or salad?"
G: "I’ll have a fresh banana."
FA: "Allow me to repeat your order, Ma'am: Continental Breakfast with white plain bread and
jam, grapefruit juice, a cup of brewed coffee, and a fresh banana. Did I get everything right?"
G: "Yes, that’s correct."
FA: "Great, Ma'am. Would you prefer this to be charged to your room or paid in cash?"
G: "Charge it to my room, please. How much is my bill?"
FA: "Your total is 399 pesos, Ma'am. I’ll charge it to room 0123 under the reservation name of
(name). Your breakfast will be delivered within 10 minutes. Thank you for calling room service,
and have a wonderful day!"

Delivering the Order
FA knocks and announces: "Good morning, Ma'am. Room Service, may I come in?"
G: "Good morning. Yes, please come in."
FA: "Here’s your breakfast, Ma'am. Would you like me to set the table for you, or should I leave
it on the tray?"
G: "Please set the table for me."
FA: "Certainly, Ma'am."
- Set the tray on the table, ensuring all items are neatly arranged.
- Place the white plain bread and jam, fresh banana, grapefruit juice, and brewed coffee on the
table.
FA: "Here’s your Continental Breakfast: white plain bread with jam, fresh banana, grapefruit
juice, and brewed coffee. Would you like me to assist in laying the napkin on your lap?"
G: "Yes, please."
FA: (Lays the napkin on the guest's lap).
FA: "Shall I pour the coffee for you, Ma'am?"
G: "Yes, go ahead."
FA: (Pours coffee into the cup).
FA: "Would you like me to open the curtains to brighten the room, Ma'am?"
G: "Yes, please."
FA: (Opens the curtains, ensuring not to disturb any items on the table).
FA: "Would you like me to turn on the television for you, Ma'am?"
G: "Yes, please. Could you put on the Discovery Channel?"
FA: "Of course, Ma'am." (Turns on the TV and finds the requested channel.)
FA: "Now, if you don’t mind, I’ll present your bill for signature, Ma'am." (Hands over the bill and
pen.)
G: (Signs the bill.)
FA: "Thank you, Ma'am. When would you like me to return for the soiled dishes?"
G: "After 30 minutes, please."
FA: "Certainly, Ma'am. Enjoy your breakfast, and I’ll return shortly." (Exits the room.)

Clearing the Soiled Dishes
FA knocks and announces: "Good morning, Ma'am. Room Service, may I come in?"
G: "Yes, come in."
FA: "I’m here to clear the soiled dishes, Ma'am." (Gathers the used dishes and cutlery, ensuring
nothing is left behind.)
FA: "How was your breakfast, Ma'am? Did you enjoy it?"
G: "Yes, it was wonderful!"
FA: "I’m glad to hear that, Ma'am. How was the service? Did everything meet your
expectations?"
G: "Everything was perfect, thank you!"
FA: "That’s wonderful to hear, Ma'am. How did you find the room's ambience?"
G: "Very cozy."
FA: "I’m pleased to know that, Ma'am. We’d love to serve you again anytime, and we always
look forward to your visits."
(Ensures all items are cleared from the table and that the room is tidy before leaving.)
