SCHOOL PRESIDENT MANIFESTO AND DEBATE
SPEECH
Vincent Otieno
Grade 10 West
Utumishi SACCO Secondary School
Good morning, our respected Principal, Deputy Principal, teachers, members of staff, and
my fellow students.
Before I begin, let me promise you one thing—my speech will be shorter than a mathematics exam,
so don't worry!
What makes a great school? Is it the buildings? The classrooms? Or is it the students and teachers
who work together every day?
My name is Vincent Otieno from Grade 10 West, and today I stand before you not simply asking
for your vote, but asking for the opportunity to serve you.
If elected, I will promote academic excellence, discipline, unity, respectful communication, and
support for sports and co-curricular activities. I will advocate for well-organized time for sports and
talent development so students can prepare consistently and aim to reach county and regional
competitions while maintaining strong academic performance.
I believe every student has talent—whether in football, volleyball, basketball, netball, athletics,
debate, music, drama, science, art, or clubs—and every talent deserves the chance to grow.
Remember: A vote is not just choosing a person. A vote is choosing the future you want to
see.
If you believe in better academics, stronger sports, discipline, unity, and leadership through service,
I humbly ask for your trust and your vote.
Together we can. Together we will. Together we shall succeed.
Thank you, and may God bless Utumishi SACCO Secondary School.
