Abstract
This study investigates the challenges faced by tourism management students at the
University of Caloocan City in the face of rising inflation and its impact on their travel plans.
The study aims to help students develop a strategic plan by producing alternative ways that may
select that will help them to decide for their future plans.
A survey of 90 respondents from the University of Caloocan City found that students
often encountered challenges related to rising prices in various aspects of travel, including airline
fares, land transportation, destination entrance fees, accommodation, restaurants, tour guiding
fees, and other tourism activities. The study employed descriptive design or descriptive research
methods. Frequency & percentage distribution, weighted mean, 5-point scale and rating were
used to Identify the demographic profile of the respondents. With the use of 5-points scale,
researchers will Identify what accommodation took first place with the use of Rating as well.
With the use of ranking we will identify the alternative ways of the Tourism Students to
experience to travel despite the inflation.
The study also identified alternative strategies for managing the costs of travel, including
early reservation of accommodations for lower prices and taking more staycations. Despite these
challenges, the majority of students still consider their decision that the researcher gives, which
is the several alternative ways to travel despite inflation, such as by setting a budget to prepare
sufficient funds for their trip. The importance of this study lies in its potential to provide valuable
information and solutions to the challenges faced by tourists during inflation, and to help them
develop strategies for managing the costs of travel. This study is for everyone especially for
Tourism Management students since they are still studying and it may help them to lessen the
expenses. Also researchers come up with this study not just for tourism management students but
also the people who will reach this study.
