Topic: Mental Health Issues in Special Populations
Good Morning everyone.
I extend a warm welcome to our respected faculty members and dear III Year [Link]. Nursing
students.
Today, we are gathered here for a panel discussion on "Mental Health Issues in Special
Populations." Mental health is an essential component of overall health and well-being.
Certain groups in society are more vulnerable to mental health problems because of
developmental, physical, social, emotional, and environmental factors. Understanding these
challenges is important for providing holistic and compassionate nursing care.
We have a group of panel members who will discuss the mental health issues faced by
different special populations. Let us begin our discussion.
SESSION 1 – CHILDREN
To begin the panel discussion, I would like to invite Ms. Niranjana to share her views on
Mental Health Issues among Children. Children are vulnerable to various emotional,
behavioral, and developmental problems that can significantly affect their growth, learning,
and overall well-being.
