IITM Fee Structure 2024-25

1. General Information about Fee

The fee for different programmes is decided by the State Level Fee Committee constituted by the
Government of NCT of Delhi. The fee decided by the Fee Committee can be different for different
batches of the same programme concurrently running in the Institute. For the same programme the
fee can also be different across different institutions. The Institute charges fees as prescribed by the
State Level Fee Committee and as published in the University Admission Information Brochure.

2. Fee Components

The total fee charged by the Institute has four components:

4. Payment Schedule and Deadlines

4.1 First Year Students

For first year students, a portion of the first year fee is collected by the University during the
counseling and admission process. The remaining balance fee must be deposited at the Institute
within 15 days of admission or as per the schedule notified by the University, whichever is earlier.

4.2 Second and Third Year Students

Students of second and third year are required to pay fees once a year as per the schedule
prescribed by the University. The typical payment window opens in July and closes by August 31 of
each academic year. The exact dates are notified through the notice board and the Institute
website.

4.3 Mode of Payment

All fees must be submitted through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Institute of Innovation in
Technology and Management' payable at New Delhi. Cash payments and online transfers are not
accepted for regular programme fee. Students are advised to keep the DD receipt as proof of
payment.

5. Late Payment Charges

Students who do not deposit their fee by the prescribed due date shall be liable to pay late payment
charges as prescribed by the University. The late fee penalty structure is as follows:

16 to 30 days after due date Rs. 1,000 per day

31 to 45 days after due date Rs. 2,000 per day


Beyond 45 days Admission may be cancelled at the discretion of the Director
Important: Students are strongly advised to pay their fees on time to avoid penalties and potential
disruption to their academic activities.

6. Other Fees

Re-appear and rechecking fees are to be paid through demand draft in favour of 'Registrar Guru Gobind
Singh Indraprastha University' payable at Delhi.

7. Fee Refund Policy

7.1 Security Deposit Refund

The security deposit of Rs. 5,000 shall be refunded on completion of the programme or on
withdrawal of the student after obtaining clearance from the Institute through the No Dues
Certificate. The Institute may deduct an amount on account of fine levied for damage of property or
equipment or for acts of indiscipline committed individually or collectively which have been duly
notified.

7.2 Tuition Fee Refund on Withdrawal

If a student withdraws from the programme after the commencement of classes and the seat
remains vacant, no tuition fee shall be refunded under any circumstances. If the withdrawal
happens before the commencement of classes, the refund shall be processed as per the guidelines
of the University and the State Level Fee Committee. Processing of refund typically takes 45 to 60
working days from the date of submission of the complete refund application.

7.3 Refund in Case of Cancellation by Institute

In the event of cancellation of admission by the Institute on disciplinary grounds, the fee refund shall
be at the discretion of the Director and shall be governed by the rules laid down by the University.
The security deposit may be forfeited fully or partially depending on the nature of the disciplinary
violation.

8. Scholarships and Fee Concessions

The Institute facilitates the following scholarship schemes for eligible students:

Students must apply for scholarships within the first 30 days of each academic year. Applications
received after the deadline will not be considered. Supporting documents must be submitted along with
the application form available at the Academic Office.

9. Education Loan Assistance

The Institute provides necessary documentation and support to students applying for education
loans from nationalized banks. Students requiring a bonafide certificate, fee structure letter, or
admission confirmation letter for loan purposes may apply to the Academic Office. These
documents are typically issued within 3 to 5 working days of the application.

The Institute has tie-ups with State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, and Bank of Baroda for
streamlined education loan processing. Students are advised to initiate the loan application process
at least 30 days before the fee payment deadline to avoid late payment charges.
