Living and working in a foreign country offers significant benefits such as broadening horizons and developing valuable skills like independence and problem-solving. However, it also presents challenges, including cultural and language barriers, and feelings of isolation due to a lack of support networks. Overall, the advantages of such experiences outweigh the disadvantages.

"Nowadays people say the world is a village"

Besides = Nevertheless

These days, more and more people are going to other countries for significant period of
time, either to find a job or to study. There are clearly many benefits to doing this, but
people who live abroad can also face some difficulties.

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of living and working in a foreign country.

Nowadays, people say the world is a village. It might become a trend for people to risk
venturing out to live and work in a strange country. There are pros and cons attached to
going along with this option. However, overall, I would say that the good points outweigh
the downsides and I will outline evidence and example in this essay.

Firstly, the benefits can be seen easily. One of those is helping one to broaden his horizons
for better consideration for his future option. For example, my college was born and raised
in a small town in the Middle area of Vietnam. In such a small place, people knew each
other very well and everything seems clear-cut for her. But, she tries to challenge herself to
come and live a vibrant and cosmopolitan city like HCM City and found herself more
possibilities. If she hadn’t moved out, she wouldn’t have known. Another good point should
be mentioned is the inner change. Being far away from similarity (// Being outside your
comfort zone )) provides valuable experience that urges a person to adapt to a new culture
which can encourage and develop the form of new skills such as independence, problem-
solving and networking.

We can’t say everything about this adventurous journey will be always as exciting as it is
from the beginning. As time goes by, people experience feelings of frustration when coping
with language or culture problems. These problems take time and effort to explore and
conquer. In addition to feelings, not having the support network from friends can let people
down deeply. As an example, as in an article I saw online recently , they said more than a
half of people emigrate tend to refuse to accept the differences of their host country and
avoid spending time with local people in favour of mixing with others from their home
country.

Starting afresh is not a good call for people who want a stable life. However, the
disadvantages pale into insignificance compared to the advantages that we can get. From
this experience, an individual can achieve big success from his new-found freedom in his
life.
