About Resource
Scopus is the resource that combines a
comprehensive, highly managed abstract and
citation database with enriched data and
connected scholarly literature from a wide range
of fields. Scopus finds relevant and authoritative
research instantly, identifies experts and
provides access to trustworthy data, metrics,
and analytical tools.

Scopus Main Page
•If you are using Scopus for the first time, click Create account.
•Register with your official email ID and set a password.
•If redirected to OpenAthens or facing issues, try creating the account in Incognito mode (Chrome).
•After account creation, you can access Scopus normally in Chrome.

After Login
•Once logged in, your name appears on the top-right corner.
•Enter any keyword (e.g., Artificial Intelligence) in the search bar and click Search.
•A list of related documents will be displayed.
•Use the Filters on the left side (Year, Author, Subject, Source, etc.) to refine and narrow down results.

Exporting Documents
•You can export search results in CSV or other formats.
•Select the bibliographic details you need (author, title, year, DOI, etc.).
•Click Export to download the file.
•The exported file will be saved in your Downloads folder.

SCOPUS AI
Scopus AI is an intuitive and intelligent search
tool powered by generative AI (GenAI) that
delivers insights with unprecedented speed
and clarity. It searches the abstracts of
documents in Scopus for terms that match
your query. It then synthesizes the key points
in those abstracts into an easy-to-follow
summary.

• As shown in the image, go to Scopus, click on ‘Scopus AI’, enter your query,
and click the arrow to proceed with the search.

For references
• As shown in the image, the references can be viewed through the options
highlighted in red boxes numbered 1 and 2.

Off Campus
•The small red box with numbers “1” and “2” in the text indicates citation/reference
markers. By clicking on these numbers, users can view the corresponding references
used for that statement.
•The large red box on the right side displays the summary reference details, including
the article title, authors, source, year, abstract, and citation information related to the
selected reference.

Deeper Search
Delve deeper into your Scopus AI summary by exploring:
I. Expanded Summary - Provides the option to view a more comprehensive and
in-depth response.
II. Foundational documents - Highlight the most influential papers in Scopus on
your topic.
III. Concept map - Visually maps search results offering a comprehensive overview
that allows you to navigate complex relationships easily.
IV. Topic experts - Identify leading authors based on your query alongside
explanations of their relevant expertise.
V. Go deeper (suggested queries) - Offers relevant queries for further exploration,
leading to hidden insights in various research fields.
