Software reinstallation method
FW P/SEDW series control software, suitable for FW P generator, consists of two 1.44MB, 3.5 Inch disks
marked with FW P/CNC series 1/2 and FW P/CNC series 2/2.
The installation sequence is as follows:
1) Insert one new floppy disk in floppy drive, turn on machine and key in F5 to enter MS-DOS.
Then run command as follows:
[C :>cd sedw, C:>SEDW>copy [Link] B:\*.*, C:>SEDW>copy [Link] B:\*.*].
Then this floppy disk is backup disk.
2) Turn off SOURCE button, and open the back door of the generator.
3) Remove the floppy-disk-cable from the existing socket (port B :) and insert this cable into the other socket
(port A :) on the floppy disk, and then shut the front door of the generator.
4) Insert the floppy disk FW P/CNC 1/2 into the floppy drive and press SOURCE button to start the
generator.
5) Press DEL continuously to enter the CMOS configuration menu when the generator sets up, under the
CMOS configuration menu, press ENT to enter “STANDARD CMOS SETUP” item, press”↓” to move cursor
to “Drive A:” item, press PGDN to change to “1.44MB,3.5in”, then move the cursor to “Drive B:” item by
pressing „↓„, press PGDN to change to “none”, then press ESC to exit the standard CMOS setup. Move the
cursor to “BIOS FEATURES SETUP” item, press ENT, then press „↓‟to move the cursor to “Boot sequence :”,
then press PGDN to change to “A: C:”, press ESC to exit “BIOS FEATURES SETUP” item. Finally, press
F10, then „Y‟ and ENT to save the CMOS configuration.
6) After the system on, firstly perform disk deletion. Enter FDISK, enter choice 3, then 3, delete logical
partition D & E.(key in D and label, E and label, then key in „Y‟ to accept it.) Then key in „ESC‟ back to „FDISK
OPTIONS‟, then enter choice 3 and 2, then key in „Y‟ and enter. Press ESC to continue. Enter choice 3 and
1, press ENTER, key in its label and key „Y‟ to make sure. Now all partitions are deleted.
7) Secondly perform disk partition. Press „1‟ and ENT to enter “Create DOS Partition or Logical DOS Drive”
item, then press „1‟ and ENT again to enter “Create Primary DOS Partition”, press „Y‟ and ENT, choose
maximum space for partition C, press ENT to set the C: drive to 2000MB, then press ESC to return to FDISK
menu. Press „1‟ and ENT, then press „2‟ and ENT to enter “Create Extended DOS Partition” item, press ENT
to set the available space for logical drive, press Esc to select the logical drive size, input “2000” and ENT to
set D: drive to 2000MB, input “2000” and ENT to set E: drive to 2000MB. Press ESC to return to FDISK
menu. Press „2‟ and ENT to select active partition. Press „1‟ and ENT to set C: drive to active partition. Press
ESC to return to FDISK menu, and then press ESC and then any key to start the computer system
automatically. When entering the FDISK menu again, press ESC to exit the FDISK options and continue the
next step.
8) Format C: D: E: drive automatically. When system prompts “Processed with format (Y/N)?”, press „Y‟ and
ENT to format C: drive, then D: and then E: . When finishing the format, please input the label for the drives,
define C: drive label as BAC, then D: drive label as BAD and E: drive label as BAE.
9) Copy the control software FW P/CNC to directory C:\sedw.
10) When system prompts “insert FW P/CNC 2/2 to the floppy disk, press any key to continue”, please insert
FW P/CNC 2/2 floppy disk into the floppy drive, press any key, then installing of the second disk to D: drive
will be carried out automatically
11) When the step 9 is over, turn off SOURCE button, open the front door, change the floppy drive cable wire
to the original position, i.e. drive B: position, then shut the from door.
12) Remove the floppy disk from the floppy drive, Turn on SOURCE button; when the system just sets up,
press DEL to enter CMOS configuration, move cursor same as the fourth step, and set “drive A:” to “none”,
set “drive B:” to “1.44MB, 3.5in”, and set “boot sequence” to “C:, A:”, and save the CMOS setting.
13) Insert the backup floppy disk, and reboot machine and key F5 to enter MS-DOS. Copy the backup files
[Link] and [Link] to under folder C:>SEDW>, and overwrite the files. (Command: C:>SEDW>copy
B:\[Link], C:>SEDW>copy B:\[Link]).
14) After enter the main mode, i.e. MANUAL mode, press ALT_1 to enter the parameter mode, then press F2
to enter MOTOR sub-mode, then input the pitch compensation parameters according to the machine file,
press ALT_8 to save; press F10 to return.
15) Return to X, Y origin with G81 instruction in MANUAL or AUTOMATIC mode. Example:

16) After returning to origin, when turning off SOURCE button, you shall hear a whisper. It indicates that the
installation is successful.
