Key Mapping refers to customization of the keys provided in Finacle Core Banking Solution
application. This key mapping customization feature allows you to perform hot key support.

Chapter 2. Hot Keys Support
The hot keys help in easy navigation between the menu screens.
The hot keys are frequently used to perform different actions in Finacle FINUX menu options.

Go/ F4 The pages which have either the Go, Accept or Ok button, press the F4 key to activate

Submit F10 The form with button category as “submit” qualifies for this hotkey. The form which
has the submit button, press the F10 key to activate the functionality of the button.
Focus F12 F12 key shifts the focus to the first button of the screen.

Key Mapping
Note: You could encounter special cases of screens that contain multiple basic functionality
buttons, for example, screens with more than one block, might contain more than one G0 or Ok
or Accept (or) Cancel or Back or Close or Submit or Validate buttons. In such cases, based on the
source of the event, that is, the block in which the key is pressed, the functionality of the associated
button is activated. In case of multiple blocks with one button, the functionality of the associated
button is activated.

Chapter 4. Solution Hotkey Override
This feature helps in restricting the usage of existing hotkeys or interchanging the usage functionality
of default hotkeys.
Any solution can restrict the use of a hotkey or even interchange the usage of default product hotkeys

as part of customization. As part of the application load service call json response containing hotkey
information, FINUX UI framework will take care of handling the restriction/overriding.
