TEACH BASICS
Before you START assigning ,
you’ll need to make sure your students
have a SOLID understanding on how to write
a quality paragraph. (YES, this means you will need to
teach your students to indent each new paragraph – I
literally KICK the air and tell them , “You MUST put a DENT in
your writing at the start of each paragraph!”) Also,
nothing will increase your student’s writing
skills MORE than the best practices of
DISCUSSING EXAMPLES & PLENTY of PRACTICE!!
The next few pages show the ANCHOR CHART and mini-
lesson examples from my WRITING NOTEBOOK which have
helped students advance their skill sets.
