PROJECTS
StatPoll Backend | Real-time Polling & Quiz Platform | Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ | Self Project
Spring Boot backend for a real-time polling/quiz platform with JWT authentication, session orchestration, and WebSocket live updates.
• Engineered a horizontally scalable real-time session engine using RabbitMQ-backed STOMP messaging and Quartz job scheduling infrastructure
• Exposed secure REST endpoints with a dedicated user-resolution service for identity-aware client-side workflows and authorization checks
• Built JWT-based authentication with ownership-scoped authorization across all application events, quizzes, questions, and user sessions
• Designed end-to-end session lifecycle orchestration with Quartz-scheduled background jobs and Redis caching for reliable state transitions
• Enabled low-latency topic-based message fan-out using STOMP over WebSocket for hosts and participants during live interactive sessions
• Modeled persistent relational data with PostgreSQL and Spring Data JPA, designing and documenting REST APIs via OpenAPI/Swagger efficiently
• Built Testcontainers-based integration tests achieving 94% line and 96% method coverage, fully validated via fully detailed JaCoCo reporting
Graphene | Shortest-Path Routing Engine | C++20, Drogon, CMake, vcpkg | Self Project
Built a fast, demonstrably-correct shortest-path routing engine in modern C++20, benchmarked extensively over real road networks.
• Designed a cache-friendly Compressed Sparse Row (CSR) graph core using three flat, trivially-serializable arrays for compact memory storage
• Implemented Breadth-First Search (BFS), Dijkstra, and A* algorithms behind a single pluggable, extensible algorithm interface for benchmarking
• Engineered a self-calibrating, provably-admissible A* heuristic using a Euclidean great-circle approximation, requiring no parameter tuning
• Built a binary caching pipeline parsing and converting raw, real-world DIMACS road networks into instantly loadable serialized graph files offline
• Developed a benchmark harness running seeded query sets and exporting per-query and aggregate performance metrics as well structured JSON
• Built a Drogon-based HTTP API exposing graph info, single-query routing, and configurable multi-algorithm benchmark endpoints efficiently
• Benchmarked 264,346-node, 733,846-edge NY road network, achieving 2.2 times fewer node expansions using calibrated admissible A* heuristics
Windscreen Wiper Mechanism Simulation | Kinematic Modeling & Numerical Solving | MATLAB | Course Project (ME29002)
Developed a MATLAB-based simulation engine to model and analyze a crank-rocker wiper mechanism numerically
• Implemented a custom numerical solver using vector loop-closure equations and tangent half-angle substitution for finding precise joint angles
• Built a parametric simulation engine modeling link motion, sweep trajectory, and torque variation across a complete full rotation cycle continously
• Engineered a configurable kinematic model supporting multiple blade-stiffness parameters (k=200 to k=5) for comparative design analysis
• Computed and visualized key mechanism outputs including a 942 cm swept area and single-DOF kinematic behavior throughout operation
• Modeled a fully compliant spring-mounted blade variant and benchmarked deflection behavior against the rigid baseline using MATLAB plots
