Letter Meaning Example Value

K Kilo-ohms (kΩ) 2K2 2.2 kΩ
M Mega-ohms (MΩ) 1M5 1.5 MΩ

3. 4-Band Resistor Reading Rule


1st Band = First Digit
2nd Band = Second Digit
3rd Band = Multiplier
4th Band = Tolerance

Example: Red – Violet – Yellow – Gold → 27 × 10,000 = 270 kΩ ±5%
