API KEY REGISTRATION
Why we have to register for the API key?
So, we have to register for the API key which represents our company, and without the API
key the API key provider such as Mouser, Digikey etc., don’t know how is calling the API. And
with the API key we can access the services from the platforms like the Mouser, Digikey etc.,
and provides API call services and securely provides their data to us.

In the registration process of the mouser API key, it needs us to give the details of the
application like the “app name, no. of users, Host IP address etc”. We can get the approval
from the mouser to use their API only when we finish this registration
This is how the application form looks like for the Mouser:
In the Host IP address, we can give our backend server IP address or we can use our laptop
IP address for temporary use, later we can update the details in the mouser
Or, simply we can mail to the mouser support team explaining our requirement.

Digikey registration
For Digikey, they will give us a fake API which can perform like an actual API and we need to
register to access that fake API to experience their API services
For the research purpose we can give the localhost url in the OAuth Callback
In the sandbox details we have to choose which kind of API we want to test and then we can
click on the “Add sand box” button

Note: Prefer Mouser rather than Digikey, even though the services provided are same,
Mouser is more user friendly than the Digikey.
