II. CUSTOMER NEEDS ANALYSIS

Data Gathering Tool on what motivates a customer to buy products or
services. Knowing which features, attributes, and benefits are relevant to
customers can help businesses adapt their product development and
marketing strategies. If the instrument is researcher-made or developed,
construct such instrument bringing into mind the characteristics or
requirements of a good research instrument.
DATA GATHERING TOOL
To find out what motivates customers to buy fresh fix footlong products, the
study will use a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) guided by simple interview
questions. This tool allows customers to share their experiences, opinions,
and preferences about footlongs, giving deeper insights than a survey alone.
PURPOSE OF THE INSTRUMENT
The FGD aims to know which features of a footlong (taste, price, size,
convenience, toppings, cleanliness, and presentation) are most important to
customers. The results will help in improving the product and making better
marketing strategies.
STRUCTURE OF THE INSTRUMENT
The interview guide will have three parts:
1. Warm-up Questions
* What snacks do you usually buy?
* Have you tried a footlong before?
2. Motivational Factors
* What makes you choose a footlong (taste, price, size, toppings, etc.)?
* Do you prefer footlongs because they are filling and convenient?
* Does the price affect your choice?
3. Buying Behavior and Suggestions
* How often do you buy footlongs?
* What improvements would make you buy more?
* Would you recommend footlongs to others? Why?
