Level:1
A. 1 - Mark Questions (8 Questions)

B. Assertion & Reasoning Questions (2 questions)

Choose the correct option.
(a) Both A and R are correct; R explains A
(b) Both A and R are correct; R does not explain A
(c) A is correct, R is incorrect
(d) A is incorrect, R is correct

9. Assertion (A): Zero is a rational number.

Reason (R): Each rational number is a quotient of any two
Integers while its divisor should not be zero. Thus, a number of
the form p/q where p and q are integers and q≠0 is a
rational number.

10. Assertion (A): The product of any two rational numbers is always
a rational number .
Reason (R): The product of two rational number can never be
an integer.

9. Assertion (A) : Rational numbers lying between two

rational numbers x and y is (x+y)/2.
Reason (R) : There is one rational number between
any two rational number.

10. Assertion: The sum of any two rational numbers is a

rational number.
Reason: There are no two rational numbers whose sum
is not a rational number.
