to perform any function.
It may be
1. Programs that instruct the computer what to do
2. Configuration files where important system information is
stored,
3. and User files that hold the result of the computer

Classification of Software
System Software Application Software
System software refers to the files and Application software is designed to help
programs that make up your computer's the user in performing single or multiple
operating system. System files include related tasks. It is actually a subclass of
libraries of functions, system services, computer software, which employs the
drivers for printers and other hardware, capabilities of a computer directly to a task

Word Processor- Is a software application capable of creating, storing, editing, and
printing documents

Presentation - Is a software package used to display information in the form of a
slide show.
example: LibreOffice Impress, Microsoft PowerPoint, Prezi

• Formatting Toolbar
• Status Bar
• Rulers
• Work Area
• Scroll Bars
• Control Buttons
• Title Bar- the title of your document
• Menu Bar- displays the menu.
• Standard Toolbar- gives the user access to file operations, printing, movement of data blocks,
the undo system, and to some of the powerful tools like the function creator and the graphing
system.
• Formatting Toolbar- contains a collection of icon buttons that allows the user to access various
formatting menus such as changing the font or the paragraph format.
• Status Bar- gives you important information about where you are in a document and which
features are currently enabled
• Rulers- a measurement tool found with some software programs that allow the program's user
to align graphics, text, tables, or other elements on a page
• Work Area- your workspace
• Scroll Bars- make it easy to access the parts of your document that don't fit on the current
screen view and enable you to scan a long document
• Control Buttons- Allows you to move the window viewing area up, down, left or right.
