Group work
1. Read and summarize the chapters sent through your WhatsApp class group or
from your group representatives
2. Prepare PowerPoint group presentations for the following chapters:

Adapting to your Audience (Group 1 and 2)
Researching your Topic (Group 3 and 4)
Supporting your Ideas (Group 5 and 6)
Organizing and Outlining your Speech (Group 8 and 7)
Beginning and Ending you Speech (Group 10 and 9)
Using Language Effectively (Group 12 and 11)
Integrating Presentation Media (Group 14 and 13)
Delivering your Speech (Group to be assigned)
Informative Speaking (Group to be assigned)
Persuasive Speaking (Group to be assigned)
Understanding Argument(Group to be assigned)
Special Occasion, Distance and Group Speaking (Group to be assigned)
Make sure to include the following in your assignment/presentation because it
adds to your oral presentation score
1. Have a clear title and labelling of your assignment
2. Elaborate and clear definitions
3. Well written summary and show understanding of the content you are
presenting
4. In your presentation use relevant images, videos and examples to help illustrate
your ideas better and make your session interactive
5. After your presentation engage your audience (the class members) by doing a
recap of what you have discussed and ask them questions relating to your
presentation
6. Include a relevant 5–10-minute relevant exercise that the class can engage in (it
can be a quiz, a point to discuss, a case study or a speech to analyse or an
application of what has been discussed)
7. Your work must have a reference (bibliography) page to acknowledge the
resources used
8. Every group member must show evidence of participation to get their share of
marks
9. Make sure all your group members are present in class the day you are
presenting
10. Manage your presentation time well (presentation, class exercises and
engagement, question and answer session) You will have 40 minutes maximum
for your entire presentation session (The session will be timed)
