Superposition Theorem
• It is applicable to the circuits with multiple sources
• The current through, or voltage across, an element in a linear bilateral network is
equal to the algebraic sum of the currents or voltages produced independently
by each source with all other sources are replaced by their internal resistances.

Source Transformation Theorem
• Source transformation is a technique used to simplify electrical circuits by
converting a voltage source (Vs) in series with a resistor R into an equivalent
current source (Is) in parallel with the same resistor R, or vice versa.

𝑅
Source Transformation Theorem
• By Source Transformation a current source (I) with parallel resistor R can be
transformed to, a voltage source (V) with a series resistor R
where 𝑉 = 𝐼𝑅
