1. Use Gauss's law to explain why the electric field inside a conductor must be zero

2. A long straight cylinder of radius R = 0.02m carries a uniform volume charge density of 2 x 10 -6C/m3.
Find the electric field at a point p = 0.05m from the axis of the cylinder.

3. A spherical shell of inner radius 2cm and outer radius 5cm carries a charge of +10nC uniformly
distributed over it's outer surface. Calculate the electric field;

(a). Inside the shell (b). Just outside the shell and (c). At a distance 10cm from the centers

4. An infinite sheet of charge has a uniform surface charge density of 5 x 10-6C/m2. Find the electric field
on either side of the sheet
