Outlier Python Bootcamp Guide (30 Days)

Overview
This guide is designed to prepare you for Python-focused Outlier coding assessments in 30 days.
Study 3–5 hours daily and spend at least twice as much time coding as reading.
Week 1
Master Python syntax: variables, types, strings, lists, tuples, dictionaries, sets, loops, functions,
comprehensions, exceptions. Build: calculator, palindrome checker, contact book.
Week 2
Algorithms: arrays, hash maps, two pointers, sliding window, recursion, sorting. Solve 30 LeetCode
problems (20 Easy, 10 Medium).
Week 3
Data structures: stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, BFS, DFS, binary search, Big-O. Solve 30 more
problems and explain complexity aloud.
Week 4
Timed mock assessments, debugging AI-generated code, code reviews, clean code,
documentation. Complete 40 additional problems.
Essential Python
Know list vs tuple, dict operations, set usage, slicing, lambda, generators, decorators (basic), file
I/O, context managers.
Problem List
Two Sum, Valid Parentheses, Merge Sorted Arrays, Contains Duplicate, Binary Search, Linked List
Cycle, Invert Binary Tree, Maximum Depth, Flood Fill, Number of Islands, etc. Aim for 120 Easy +
80 Medium.
Interview Prep
Practice explaining solutions, tradeoffs, and complexity. Expect debugging tasks and code
comprehension questions.
Resources
Python docs, freeCodeCamp Python, NeetCode roadmap, LeetCode, GitHub Skills. Keep notes of
every mistake.
Final Checklist
Can solve Medium problems in under 30 minutes, explain Big-O, debug unfamiliar code, use Git
basics, write clean Python.
