LAB TEST STA220/JAN 2026

NUR HUSNINA BT HISHAM

NAME:
GROUP: CDCS1435C

TOTAL MARKS: 20 DURATION: 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES

ASSESSMENT WEEK WEEK 12
Students are able to display a simple statistical analysis that
COURSE LEARNING is related to the fundamentals of research.
OUTCOME

A researcher is interested in exploring the impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease

of use and trust on digital zakat payment behavior among university staff. The dataset
can be obtained in job satisfaction dataset.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Import/ Enter dataset into SPSS.

• Import the Excel file into SPSS/ Enter Dataset Manually in SPSS
• Show Data View and Variable View screenshots.

3. Categorical Variable Analysis

• Choose ONE categorical variable (Years of Service)
• Produce ONE bar chart or pie chart.
• Provide a short interpretation (1–2 sentences).

Table above show the bar chart of Years of Service variable. There is 28% of the respondents are below 5
years of services. Meanwhile, 5-10 years are 43.50% and above 10 years are 28.50%.

4. Descriptive Statistics (Numerical Variable)

• Choose ONE numerical variable.
• Produce descriptive statistics (mean, median, SD, min, max).
• Interpret in 1-2 sentences.
(8 marks)

The table above show mean, median, standard deviation, min, max value of category age. The result
show that that the value of mean is 2.54, median = 2.00, standard deviation is 0.838. Meanwhile the value
minimum of category age is 1 and maximum is 4.

5. Hypothesis Testing – Comparisons of Two Groups

• Selects gender variable.
• Choose job satisfaction variable.
• Conduct an independent samples t-test.
• Report results and write a brief conclusion (null decision + interpretation).
(8 marks)
LAB TEST STA220/JAN 2026

The table above show independent sample t-test between job satisfaction and gender. The
Levene’s Test show p-value = 0.797 > 0.05, indicate that there is no significant difference in mean
between male and female. Therefore, the p-value equal variances assumed is 0.158 > 0.05
indicate that there is no difference between job satisfaction and gender.

6. Relationship Between Two Variables

• Conduct a correlation analysis between any two numerical variables.
• Report the correlation coefficient and significance value.
• Provide a short interpretation of strength and direction.
(7 marks)

The table above show the correlation analysis result between job satisfaction
and compensation benefit. The pearson correlation between job satisfaction
and compensation benefit is 0.668, this indicate that there is positive
relationship between these two variables.
LAB TEST STA220/JAN 2026

The table above show the correlation analysis result between job satisfaction
and compensation benefit. The pearson correlation between job satisfaction
and compensation benefit is 0.668, this indicate that there is positive
relationship between these two variables.

7. Multiple Linear Regression

• Conduct a multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between a
numerical independent variable (predictor) and a numerical dependent variable
(outcome).
• Report the regression equation, R² value, and p-value.
• Interpret the results, including:
i. Direction of the relationship (positive/negative)
ii. Strength of the relationship (R²)
iii. Significance of the overall model
iv. Significance of the predictor (p-value)
LAB TEST STA220/JAN 2026

• Provide a brief written conclusion in the context of the dataset.

LAB TEST STA220/JAN 2026

45.40% the total of variation in satisfaction are explained by compensation benefit, training and
development and performance management. The remaining 54.6% are explained by the other
factors. Since the F-test is 54.342 with p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 indicate that there is at least one of
the independent variable can be use to predict job satisfaction. Based on coefficients table, there
is only one significant to the model which is compensation benefit (t=4.575, p-value= 0.000 <
0.05), this indicate that there is significant between compensation benefit with the model.
Meanwhile the other variable which are training and development and performance management
are not significant to model.
