Math is magic 2x
You know what is fun 2x
Its learning mathematics
Solving problematics
Math's for everyone 2x
Addition, Subtraction
Multiplication

Math is interesting
Math's very exciting
I love math 2x
1. Setting of standards
Listen to someone who is speaking
Raise a hand if you have questions
Be respectful throughout the class
Keep silence when the ring of the bell is heard
Be cooperative in any team activities
2. Drill
Grade Grouping “Quiz Bowl”
The teacher prepares Flashcards that contains different problem-equation (Addition, Division, and Multiplication). Each grade
level will have 10 seconds to answer. All of the students will be ask to prepare 1/4 sheet of paper each, and when their team correctly
3. Review
Who can recall what was our topic discussed yesterday?

operation? operation? operation?
Why do you say so? Why do you say so? Why do you say so?
How did you get your answer? How did you get your answer? How did you get your answer?
What is Addition Operation? What is Addition Operation? What is Addition Operation?
Motivation
Cross-age Peer Tutoring. The teacher will group the pupils in hetero. All teams will be given 5 minutes time to teach their
members
the best strategy to memorize or solve skillfully their assigned mathematical operation mentally.
B. Developmental Activity
1. Lesson Proper: (Learning strategies in the game)
Team Game Tournament
Direction: Each team will have a member in grades 1, 2, and 3. Members that are grade 1 will be the one to answer a Addition
operation, while grade 2 members in the team will have to answer multiplication operation and the grade 3 member will be
answering
the division operation mentally. Thereby, the points of the team will reflect on the answer of each member. No coaching is allowed
and only the representative will be given the chance to solve the equation; that is if, they will be the first to ring the bell on the
center.
Generalization
Calling first the winner team.
Questions:
Team A what technique or strategy did you use in the addition operation. (Calling grade 1 representative)
How about team B? team C? …
In Multiplication operation, grade 2 members what strategy did you use in order to solve the equation mentally let’s start with the team
B?
How about team C? team A?
To our ate and kuya in grade 3, how did you get to answer the division operation mentally? Starting with the team C, what is your
technique?
How about team A? team B?
Application/Valuing
On the same group I want you to present a short roleplay that uses the mathematical operations and its importance in real life situation.

Evaluation / Assignment
Teacher will give first the assignment “Practice solving mathematical operation using strategies you are fond at home” and followed by
having an oral recitation where students will have the opportunity to go home early or have a snack if they got the correct answer. Students
will raise their hands if they want to answer the applicable equation for their grade level.
